i never drove an Aero, but i drove my friends 05 wrx just 2 weeks ago, its almost the inverse of rx8. its got a decent pull down low, but weak up top, especially in 4th and 5th gears. the bang for the buck factor is pretty damn good if you dont mind the look. Id imagine Aero to be the same save for the better interior and sound proofing and what not over the wrx.

9-2x's are awesome cars. My dad picked one up in July for $19K.
They will be sold again for the 2006 model year with the 2.5L engine - however pricing will be back around $26k.
Saab will also be getting getting a version of the redesigned Imprezza, but this time the differences between the two cars are going to be more pronounced.
