Say hello to my new mistress: 2012 Audi TT RS. Ibis White.

Picked her up earlier today.

I've been lusting after this car since it was first introduced in 2009. Needless to say, I was crestfallen to hear that it was, at that time, going to be a Europe-only model. Damn Audi for being coy and finally introducing this car to the USA, but I'm so happy that they did. This is only the second car that I plan on having a long-term love affair with. The RX-8, of course, is the first. I'll post a driving review comparing the two after I've put some miles on her.

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but LOL, they do look very similar. And thanks!

So not fair... You have no clue how jealous I am right now. I've been in love with that car since I first heard about it too. As much as I like the 3.0t in the B8 S4, that 5 cylinder just has a certain appeal that wins me over. If I could afford one, I would definitely run out and buy one lol.

So far it seems like a great engine to work with and the initial tuning seems promising. If it's anything like my B5 S4, it will be a lasting community with continued development for quite a while.

I would have gone with Sepang Blue, but that's a small detail. Looking forward to hearing your reactions as a former 8 owner.

Sweet. I love these too. However, the mirrors look weird in your pic.

Why the squished pic? Something looks odd.

Cool ride, congrats. When I got my eight, it was between a TT and the eight. Titanium grey with orange leather interior with the baseball stitching. It was the test drive that put me in the eight. Could have gone either way.

Even though, at this point, the thought of a timing belt, pistons, valves, etc. is a real turn-off, I would be verrrry tempted if Audi imported the diesel version.
Dammit.
( although, at 6'4", I don't fit very well...)

That's actually my self-debate 'dilemma' at the moment for a weekend toy. A 2006-07 low mileage 911 or a new TT-RS. The Porsche usually tips the scales.
