Please stick to the facts, as it will only HELP those that dont know the true....you included. So the ONLY thing they share is the rims, and that is due to the discontinuing the GTUs in 89 so in 90 the t2 got the 89 GTUs wheels. FACTS from my RX-7 bible, by Brain Long.

Like I've said, I don't mind being corrected, or having someone modify or further what I've said. I've never claimed to know more about anyone else on this forum. What annoys me is the elitism. These are only cars, not life.

I found a link with a pic of the 89 turbo. The wheels look identical to those on my 89 GTU-s.

I had an '87 TII, same color and all, except my sunroof matched the car and it didn't have a rear wing. It also had the lower power engine. And yeah, the wheels are ugly.

The car in the picture is either an 87 or an 88 and that was my point. An 89 would have the same wheels as the GTU-s and all the body moldings would be body colored (Not black) and the mirrors would be more curved and of course the tail lamps were changed that year.
I took the time with all of this because of this socal kid trying so hard to berate others with his knowledge of the 'facts' whilst swimming in ignorance.

Ah...I didn't see the taillights. My '87 had square tails...the round ones were so much better, imo. Supposedly the dash in the 86-88 was some 50lbs or more lighter in the first three years of the FC than the later versions...can't remember where I read that, it's been 6 years since I owned the FC and the memory fades...

Check the RX7forum.com and you'll find there's still a good market for FC parts. For example, the aero mirrors visible in the picture would easily sell. Don't let them just go to the shredder

yeah I am ignorant as you can see. Only errors in my posts was the IMSA confusion with SCCA, but feel free to correct me.

my guess.....PPPSSSSFFFTTT sound. IMO the 8 has a no boost kick so the power is more liner, so it "feels" slower to the buttdyno.

the BOV was purely cosmetic, obviously, dont even know why you asked since you knew what psi I was running. and by exhaust I meant downpipe, test pipe, and cat-back ... all custom
and yes I was just stating that it felt faster, not that it WAS

There are people on this forum who have been working on rotaries and racing them in IMSA possibly before you were born so let's try to have cordial, respectful relations between the 8 and 7 folks. I've owned RX2s,7s and an 8. They're all a ton of fun.
