"SETUP" Ten Drivers, Nine Will Finish Last
This looks to be some exciting "screen time" on Speed for a change. OK the show is based on a bunch of Solsti, but the the premise is each entrant has to 1st setup, then drive and hopefully win in their Solstice race car.
So a whole bunch of guys / gals with nearly identical lightweight street based cars setup for racing and playing for $100,000 money & the car - has all the ingredients for some fun shop build / track time video. Hopefully Speed won't turn it into a drama queen soap opera about the drivers' every little phobia and hangnail...
Starts April 18th. Check out the 2 promo vids for "Setup" http://www.speedtv.com/programs/499/

It will turn into a soap opera Spin. I'll still watch it in some small hope that they'll give out some useful info on well "Setup". Fornza was a decent show but they didnt go into any of the upgrade days and just brought to much stupid *** drama into it. Atleast they dont have that overly macho wanna be host doing the show.

I give them credit for choosing (or at least getting GM to sponser) a small 2 seat car that should be fun to drive on track with appropriate mods to upgrade it's shaky track performance and abilities. They could have done a whole lot worse...just imagine all the bad possibilities...
I'm interested to see and hoping there will be some majors differences how peps choose to set them up (that is the name "Setup"!) that should make it a good view depending on how the show is edited.

Looks like an interesting series. Here's hoping (or maybe not) that it doesn't turn into pure carnage when folks lacking driving skills get on a track with one another and go *****-out to win 100k. Someone could get hurt...
And to heck with those fugly Pontiacs...gimme one of those go-karts!

There are a number of SCCA racers in this one... Drivers should be better than the other shows but who knows how they will edit it.
