Skyline In Las Vegas!
All I can say is OMG!!!............. The new Skyline looks just like the G35. But runs mid 11's to mid 12's!!!...
Yes I have seen the new Skyline. An it is good...
I went to the LVMS this pass weekend and there it was. The only thing that stoped it was a black NSX that was NOT stock running low 11's to mid 12's. They where off by 8_10's and a silver 911-GT3 was getting killed by the new Skyline and yea the NSX killed the GT3 too.
Wow of all the days I dont take ma camera to the track. There was a filme crew there.
Well I do have 6 pics of one new sky line from the LA IAS show.
I hope you guys can see them. If not let me.

im pretty sure the next 'skyline' is going to be different, i've seen the old concept pictures for the GT-R or R 35 spec or whatever they'll call it, but it certainly wasn't a G35 like this...im still excited

jeez how many times does this need to be said? with the old skylines, the skyline was the base model and the top model everyone likes is the gtr. from now on nissan is making the skyline and gtr two different cars. our g35 coupe is the skyline in japan. that is what is pictured. the gtr is not out yet.

i really wish i lived in japan between 1991 and 1999 even though i would of been too young to drive till about 1998...damn there were some fine cars built there and never ported here.

I know its not the GT-R model and the car in the 6 pictures is not stock. But a G35 with add-on's. I was at that IAS show.
The car at the LVMS was a new SKYLINE. There was a film crew at the track too so keep a eye out for videos.
How do I know its the new SKYLINE?. Well where the licence plate would go was a paper indicating where he bought the car. I did not see the car CO. Oh well. And I will post the pic of the GT-R.

Well, the Skyline you supposedly saw was not the G35 (aka Skyline) and it most definately wasn't stock whatever it was. My guess is that it was a modded R34 GTR. You can get those new from Motorex (www.skylinegtr.com) in California. All of our G35s (2 and 4 door) are called Skylines in Japan--there is no GTR version or turbo version of it out yet. There is no GTR out yet--and even if it was a test mule of an upcoming GTR you can gaurantee that Nissan would not have brought it out to a public racetrack without camoflouge.

Well keep your eyes out on the road in Las Vegas cus this guy lives here and this is the first time I have seen him run this car at the track. One week befor we went to the LVMS I did see him in that car at the track. I wont to know whats under that hood cuz I dont know of a G35 that can kill a 911 GT-3 and a turbed out NSX.

Ok that is the old skyline prototype. Supposedly it got a major cosmetic workover.
And correct me if im worng but that car you just posted pics of was NOT running the 1/4 mile. But the first car was right?
I have friends in vegas who probably went to the show as well...

What's under the hood?
Greddy Twin Turbo making around 500hp at the crank. This car will blow the doors off unmodified R34 GT-R any day. The downside of that mod is the Greddy is quite expensive. You can also get a Vortech supercharger for the G35C that pumps out (you guessed it) 500hp at the crank, 400whp to the wheels. Somehow I don't think people are going to miss the RB26DETT as much as they thought they would.
Seeing how Nissan throws the VQ35DE engine into almost everyone of their products....... the turbo and supercharger application will make some freak cars out there:
500hp G35C
500hp G35
500hp 350Z Roadster
500hp M35 AWD
500hp FX35 AWD
500hp Altima
500hp Maxima
500hp Quest Minivan
oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the engine dynoed had two mods on it: Vortech supercharger, and Borla exhaust. Stock internals and all.

The G35 and the Skyline is the same car.
In the US, the more upmarket models are branded Infiniti, just like Acura / Honda, Lexus / Toyota.
So the cars you all know as the Infiniti G35 Coupe in the US, is known as the Skyline Coupe back home in Japan.
So yes, if you were to import the Japanese model of the coupe above, it will come with the Nissan and Skyline badge.
As for Nissan's Skyline GT-R their flagship sportscar.
Nissan has dropped the Skyline monicker and used just plain "GT-R" for their sports car.
So Skyline is Skyline, GT-R is GT-R now, they are totally separate.
So the car we are all waiting for is not the car you see above... that is a Skyline, true, but its not the GT-R. You gotta wait till mid to end of next year just to see a prototype of the new GT-R and to buy it, you need to wait till 2006.
