So sunil what car are you planning on getting now? BTW how did you like your '89 240sx? I've been looking at a few but I just don't know what to look for and what to be wary of. I'm looking at mostly the last gen 240's.

The 240sx is a very nice car. It handled well, didn't ask me much and saw me through grad school (I was broke back then). I won't say it was completely problem free. It had some 137K miles when I got it. I was the 4th owner. Don't think it was well maintained, it was completely beat-up. The starter failed ($100 fix), A/C compressor started leaking (couldn't get that fixed, no $$$). The motor and tranny always ran smooth. Nothing major. Decent mileage. If you can find one in good condition, go for it. If not, there are quite a few used RSX Type-S in our area. You won't go wrong either way!

Having owned about 10 Hondas before my 8 I would go with the RSX-S. My last Honda was an 02 Civic Si with s/c. Pulled that then added a slightly built 04 CRV swap. You can pick up a used RSX for about $14 and use the remaining $3 for a jackson racing supercharger or greddy turbo. Mods are endless for those cars. I love the ride of the 8 but miss the torque of my civic.
