i'm just happy if i can keep the car moving at this point. Still need to work on the 'creeping" when in slow traffic. it still feels akward to balance the clutch/gas.

I have found that when I am moving in my parking garage , I use 1st gear and it feels very "unsmooth". Is 1st a very rough geart?

6 mph exactly isn't "magical"...it's just around that point where you clutch and break when need be depending on traffic movement before you accelerate and keep going...shifting into first at the same rev is useless and you'll jerk.

1st geat isn't "unsmooth".. it's just that is is more sensitive to throttle response. Just takes practice

1st gear in my 8 is very rough also. i dont know why it is like that.. whenever i press the gas in first it seems like the engine is very loud and un-coperative.
