Stunning Racetrack. Wow.

Beautiful looking, though it looks like a very fast track, with fewer turns than I tend to like.
As a consolation though, I wouldn't mind seeing that show up in Gran Turismo 5 when it's released. :-)

^^ I'm quite the opposite. I love highspeed flowing tracks, and this looks to be one. Old school track design. Reminds me of Mosport. I'd love to drive there.
Many of the new tracks popping up by me seem to throw dozens of corners in at random just to make it technically challenging. It throws the rhythm off though.

^^^Interesting, as I used to ride motorcycles myself...do you find yourself, when driving your car, getting all your downshifting and braking done in a straight line? Or to better put it, setting yourself up way before the apex, then accelerating out? I guess it comes down to driver style, but before riding a motorcycle, I used to brake pretty deep into the corner...after riding a motorcycle, I find myself pushing harder out of it. I'm just wondering if anyone elses experienced this

Well, in the racing schools I attended, the slow-in, fast-out method was generally the quickest way around the track. Trying to carry too much speed in with significantly late braking tends to make it hard to focus on the best line and the smoothest throttle inputs.
As for car vs bike, I don't mind backing the RX-8 into a corner for fun, but it's not something I'd want to try with my bike - though I've seen the pros do it and it looks like hella fun. :-) A car is just so much more forgiving...

Yeah, i've seen N. Hayden damn near sideways in some races...I think a lot of his technique comes from his motocross days, but DAMN...talk about a serious pucker factor backing a bike in the way those guys do it...geeez it's crazy. But anyway, it's interesting to know other perspectives when it comes to the bike vs. car and the transition in technique.

I thought the same thing when I watched that race clip...it reminds me of Laguna Seca, if that little lagoon grew by about 10X! Se parecen mucho.
