I was reading the most recent Modified Mag and they mentioned the future of Japanese sport cars, Supra, GTR, RX-7, 450Z, LF-A, NSX, EVO X and the Dodge Charger. I was like "damn is 1992 all over again", hopefully the dealer will not go crazy with the mark up and kill this again. BTW any one seen the new VW Scirroco?

how sad, they are ecen goign to axe teh solar whcih was pretty crapy looking anyway and in no way sporty. The sc430 i more like an old perosn luxuary sports car...have you ever seen a young person driving one, and the tC well it nice and sporty but not compared to the celica.. their line up definitly needs soem help. but then again thats why we have all those other designers to choose form. If the Gtr is not too much there wont be too many others in its class besides the corvette and porsches or maybe i am wrong. any how long live the supra of the 90's

It just doesn't make sense.
I think if the 4 port 5 speed rx-8 would have been sold here mazda would have sold at least 40% more rx-8's

i still don't think so on all counts. The 4PI AT is clearly lacking in performance compared to the 6PI MT. Using a 5spd MT instead isn't going to make a huge difference in performance. Some, yes, but not enough. neither will the little weight saved by the 16" wheels... which look like *** and look too small for the car. The place where you'll see the greatest difference from the wheels is going to be on the track or in the twisties... handling. But don't they come with a softer suspenion anyway...

I'd be happy with a re-release (although it would never happen) of the last generation Supra. Maybe then they'll be sooo many of them on the road the older ones would go down in price!

Oh and in reply to the 4port 5spd 8 selling in the US, I disagree. I think the reason they're not selling aside from buyer fear of rotary cars is HP. If this car was released in a 300hp+ 6spd you'd probably see just as many 8s as you do 350z.

IMO if this car was released at the same price range it currently is but with a 300+hp you would see more of them on the road. Would the increase in sales really happen, who knows but I do believe the lack of ***** send buyers flocking to competitors such as the Z.
