I'm waiting on my house for about a year and then I will purchase one. And no I wont need to save this one particular bonus for the downpayment as I already have a "fund" I have been saving up for just that (not to mention after a year I get the second part of this big bonus.
And the car I am looking at purchasing wont really depreciate as there were only 2000 made

Voted a big Don't Do It.
With the money you'd spend on any kind of quality "DD" you could easily afford a rebuild with new Apex seals and a Pettit SC upgrade.
Now imagine your 8 in that condition against whatever "Nissan" you were thinking about getting. Hahahahaha. The 8 would rule, the others would drool.

your talking about a 6.5k sc at least 1k install plus 2k? rebuild. you can get a quality DD for less than 10k easy
and no I'm not looking at a nissan but a government made brand

I zoom therefore I am.
I know i'm gonna sound all "old manish" with this, but save the money till after you buy a house. Unless the money you have in your fund is 100 percent of the purchase price then adding this bonus and next years to it will only help lower your mortgage. Hell, you can even use the large down to finance a nicer house.
As far as the car not depreciating, I've never seen anyone crash a house. A limited issued car that you drive is still subject to every knucklehead on the road.

^was tempted to retire the 8 for weekend/autox and buy another car as a dd. but I already have a project car and I also have a car that I gave my fiance which would make a new dd 4 total cars. Ultimately just decided against it. also was planning on getting a set of cheaper coilovers but I am getting better ones now either bilsteins or ohlins (if they are still on sale)
