Timing on 1993 eclipse 1.8L
Have a question, and don't want to sign up on other forums unless i have too.
I rebuilt an old 1993 1.8l eclipse motor. I got it running and all, but how can i check/adjust timing. I have the HAYNES manual but doesn't give a detail way to do it it idles good, but im sure the distributor needs some sort of adjustment, i couldn't have got it first try.
I do have a timing light, and know how to hook it up, lol its just there isnt any lines on belt to match up with.
Is that the only place to adjust timing from distributor? unless i have a jumped tooth correct?
It took alot of research to get the belt and TDC and the rotor on the cap all ligned up. took hours and hours and talking to alot of people to get it correct.
if you have any suggestions please let me know, il take any little knowledge. And im going to keep researching myself
Thanks
Mark
