tire sign

My tire presure sign keeps coming on when ever I'm driving. At first it is off but later comes on. I had them check twice but the repair shot said the presure was fine confused on what needs to be done.

Check the pressure yourself to be sure, if it's ok according to the door decal, ask yourself... do I have the orginal wheels and tires or have they been swapped out? If they've been changed for new wheels, they likey aren't there anymore, or, someone could have broken/removed the wheel TPMS module while changing a tire, or the battery could have gone (unlikely).

You REALLY go to a repair shop to check your tire pressure..... just wow....

There is a delay at the beginning before it starts reading. I think it is something like 10 minutes. That would be why you don't see it when you start the car up.

Try the reset procedure. It's in the owner manual.
If that doesn't work, just put tape (to block the blink) on the gauge or simply ignore it.
I just ignore mine. TPMS is poop for lazy folks anyway.

The new TPMS sensors have no delay, if my pressure is low the light comes on about 10 seconds after start up. If it goes back off when your driving then your tire pressure is just barely off. The tires heat up as you drive which can push the pressure as high as 5lbs per tire over a cold reading.

I agree with buying a 2 dollar pressure gauge and checking it yourself to be safe.
