Trade in for IS350??

Stuck in a love triangle
I've been seeing the IS250 pop up around town every other day, but tonight I think I finally saw the 350 on the highway. The bastard was speeding of course in his red Lexus. I saw him get caught behind some cars that were doing the speed limit at one point so I caught up to him and stared at his car, but 20 seconds later he got around the law abiding drivers and blasted away. It was disgusting. It seemed like its performance was closer to the likes of an E46 M3 and not a 350z.

So, what did you end up doing? And have the clients been impressed.
As others have implied, the rear seat in the IS is too small for many clients. Even a 3 or G35 would be a much better choice in this regard. They also handle better. TL handles like a nose plowing boat, especially in AT form. It feels much larger than the others because it's wider.

Hey...
Sorry I ended up not doing it. Going back and forth from the 8 and the IS, the IS didn't have the driver feel I wanted, and I couldn't justify the price tag.
I've decided to pay off the 8 and go for something even more upscale with alot more utility. I'm thinking of picking up a used Cayenne since I know a guy who runs a porsche dealership...

sorry. i am against your decision of getting rid of the 8. think about it, the lexus has no manual. How can you go ZOOM ZOOM with not manual. Having a manual is having living creature with you instead of a moving metal.

One of my co-workers just traded in his Rx-8 for an IS250, he said he needed more space and was regretting trading in the 8. He inspired me to buy the Rx-8, I was looking at 350z and G35s at the time. Lexus makes nice high quality cars I don't think you can go wrong with buying one.

250 is shy and timid
350 wants to get some with its monster braking; ***** out accelaration and stiffened sport tuned suspension.

Eh, it's tough to compare the two cars. The 8 is a sports car with luxury as an afterthought, while the IS is a luxury car with sport as an afterthought. I'd really like to own an IS, but I'd also not expect it to necessarily perform as well as a sports car. I've got a bit of a penchant for luxury cars and tend to not mind a slight lack of performance in exchange for a comfortable and nice car.
