Traded in my Mazda, got a CX-7

I had it as a rental for a couple of days. A few observations:

a.) cannot see the hood so parking is guesswork
b.) kinda peppy
c.) the seat will raise or lower like 5" , no kidding
d.) interior not as nice as the rx8
e.) it's not fun to drive - but decent for an suv

Thats what this Sunday's NYT reviewer mentioned. He said it was almost like the old turbo on/off lags of yesteryear. He also said that when the curves get going, the CX-7 gets all numb. That is too bad considering Mazda is one of the better suspension/handling companies.

He liked the RDX better, but said the CX-7 was a better deal if frugally equipped.

I am driving one while my car is having the recalls done and its a nice little drive for an SUV.
