Traded in the Stang.....I'm back Mazda!
Hey guys....I've been away for a bit since I purchased my stang last summer. Well, kids are in school now and I've been called into carpooling duty. The stang was a great car, but the small back seat area and 2 doors was getting old fast. I traded in the stang for a MS3 last night and couldn't be happier. I get nearly all the performance of the stang but with 4 doors and usable rear seat area. I pick her up today and I'll post pics tonight if it stops raining.

MS6 was on my list as well. I just got a deal I couldn't pass up on the MS3. I honestly like the MS3 better......but I'm sure I'll wish I had the AWD this winter. Either one would have been a good replacement for the stang.

for me, i was either gonna go with the 8 or the ms6, im happy with my decision, but have my doubts from time to time, and supposedly the ms6 is supposed to be up to par if not above the evo

huh, it was supposed to be better than the basic evos. which it makes sense, AWD, the base evo puts out about 268 hp, and the ms6 puts out 270, i dont see how there could be that much of a difference in horsepower.

If it was supposed to be "better" they failed miserably. All the trims of the Evo perform about the same, they also all have 286hp which is a very conservative number. The Evo runs around 13 flat and can trap 106mph and the MS6 runs around 14 flat and traps around 100mph. The handling doesn't come close, nor does any other performance category you can think of. The Legacy GT and A4 is more in the realm of the MS6, not the Evo or STI.

Anyone know if the MS3 is faster than the MS6? I drove both and the MS3 feels faster.....but that doesn't mean that it is. Also, I know my Mustang was faster than both......but this little MS3 is a whole lot more fun. There is just something special about a car this small pulling as hard as it does when in the boost. I was grinning ear to ear through the whole test drive. I think the brakes are as good if not better than the Shinka that I had......and the seats are definitely better.

Since when did Mazda target the mazda6speed as an evo competitor? it is supposed to be more luxury than the evo and sti. For the grown up owners of those cars. hence you see it's often compared to the LGT, A4, 330xi...
