Sounds good. Your exhaust tips are crooked though.

Why is it that people never edit out that part where they just set down the camera and walk over to the car. Why not just cut to the engine sounds? /rant

At least I edited out me fumbling to get the camera lined up somewhat nicely...and also edited out me going back to the camera and fiddling around turning it off.

Great job of editing, except that sound should have been from your RX8 with an LS3 motor!

LostAngel, nice car. I hope you put that LS3 to good use and mod the hell out of it. I've seen an LS3 with bolt ons and a cam make 491whp/437wtq. With heads and a nice healthy dose of N20, you shouldn't have a problem hitting 700+ whp without stressing the engine much.

The biggest gain so far is my ram air...at 40mph it's been proven to make around 40RWHP. It's one of those things that I noticed as soon as I tried passing someone. The Diablosport tuner amplified that, and also got rid of torque management in the lower rpms and between shifts. Torque management pretty much tells the computer 'even though your making 100ft-lbs of torque, lets only give him 60. Now that theres no torque management, I can shred tire in first gear....and squack between 1-2...2-3...3-4.

I doubt you are making 40 WHEEL hp at 40mph from a ram air kit.

Laws of physics apply to 'vettes too.

People are regularly seeing the advertised 3.5 tenths, and 3-4mph difference in the 1/4 mile. I believe it takes 10RWHP to gain just 1 MPH in the quarter mile.

I dont want to post it here, but search youtube for 'MURAD C6 VS STOCK C6 Z51 M6'. It's a video of a Vararam C6 vs a stock Z51 C6 (supposed to have better gearing for better acceleration)

As you can see, the Vararam C6 pulls quite a bit.

You got to underdstand V8's especially the LS3 , it makes really healthy gains with bolt ons. 40 WHP may be stretching it, more like 20-22WHP. My buddy just installed a Bazani cat -back exhaust on his Z-06 and he gained 35WHP, advertised was 25-40 WHP. So he was in that margin. That is why everybody flocks to these cars, HP is very easy to attain, its cheap getting it and the mods are proven.

Yep, Very basic Bolt on LS3's are keeping up with the 505HP Z06's. As for the intake, it only makes around 4-6hp on the dyno. It's when the car is in motion that the intake really stands out.
