Bingo... I get three pages deep seeing mostly cars that are above $40k...

And since everyone else is...

Yes, It does cost nearly as much as a new 911Turbo...

Personally, if I had 40K laying around I would just save up a lot more and get the new GT-R

I would never buy a new car. Waste of money.

Actually, no. The last time I checked, an RUF RK Coupe ran around $250,000. So just over double the price of a 911 Turbo. And probably not quite as fast, but that's the price you pay for buying a RUF.

But I personally think it's probably the sharpest car I've ever laid eyes on. I love it, and it's probably the only car in that price range i would ever consider buying, even if I was filthy rich.

Funny thing. I was in the market for a car about this much this past summer until I found a killer deal on an RX-8 on this site. Ended up spending 20,550 dollars for a car with less than 7k miles. I was looking at a 350z, but hated the fit and finnish, a brand new A4 2.0 quattro, but it was a little too boring, still almost bought it, and a used M3 coupe, but couldn't find someone at the time who would sell one for something reasonable. Still am considering the new M3 coupe that comes out in March of 2008...

S2000, nothing else fits in the 40K class NEW. 335i new is over 40K as is the Elise and everything else cool. And to the guy who posted Ariel Atom, those things are 70-80K.

40K goes nowhere these says, even a base model Acura MDX is over 40.
