In what car did you learn how to drive a manual transmission?

1990 "rust :p" blue 240sx FB, learned how to drive on the way home from the sellers house about 30 km's away...i had some of the hardest stalls ever (and would for the next 2 weeks...) kept it in a storage garage, and became good friends with the garage attendant, so i would constantly zoom all around the alleys of the garage practicing my technique...good memories

A 1968 Volkswagen beetle that was, and still is, a blast to drive around town.
No power steering, no power breaking, no AC, no airbags, motor on the windshield wipers is shot. Awesome!
The clutch is by far the easiest clutch to operate ever
But we just replaced the fuel pump because it was shot and gas was getting mixed in with the oil

My rx8 muahaha!
Well I use to drive my dads truck back when I was growing up but went about 10yrs without touching a manual..so had to "relearn" although it only took about 10mins, by the time night came I was uptown looking for ladies lol....So yeah nothing hard to really learn.

My buddies Toyota Celica was my first practice car, but I only drove it like twice. I got my Z28 with very little time behind a manual gearbox... which was good for lots of laughs. ...for my friends anyway.

Triumph TR-6 when I was 15. My Grandad was into classics. Bought me my first car when I was 16 for $400 and it didnt run. Was a 1962 for falcon and we replaced the broken pushrods and drove it away. The former owner was ticked.

1985 I learned to drive on a stick. My dad's 65 VW bug. That was also the first car I helped rebuild a engine on
On Marin st in Berkeley CA, a very steep hill.
He parked halfway up the hill got out and said your turn.... Needless to say I coasted back far and stalled a few times before i got the hang of it. But I got the hang of it quicky (no choice not to). I had been riding motorcycles since I was 5 though... so the idea of clutch and shifting was nothing new. Just had not used my feet for clutch before.
The only automatics I would want to own are trucks. Because after all towing with a sick is a bad idea. This of course does not include high end auto sequential trans avail in super cars...after all I do dream of one day owning a nice Ferrari.
Makes me wonder how I will teach my son to drive. I already have plans to get him into kart racing by the time he is 5 or 6. If he wants to of course. I'd never force him.
