As the article points out, we already knew the Mustang is your downtown hairdresser's fav car. No need for the RX-8 to replace it in the list.

 

They put the Tiburon and Charger on the same list with the SLK/Miata/Z4 etc...I wouldn't take too much offense to this. I like the Charger and Tiburon...but sexy...uh no.

 

So, apparently, Corvettes and Mustangs are chick cars. Good to know.

That list makes very little sense, which goes hand and hand with women!

 

Chicks go for cars that attract hot males, and if they are within their own social cast, so much the better; for example: The monied go for BMW convertables, Ferraris, Mercedes sport models, and Lambos - exotics are also OK These mark their social status...
The New Rich hollywood types go for status in the form of long limos - because they can carry a crowd - they are a pain to drive so they will not drive their own...Rolls are in the same grouping.
Down in the middle classes Corvettes and Mustangs are definately on the hot list, along with Gts and Z cars - which are counted at exotics - lower class chicks are especially drawn to these as they hope to find a guy and move on up. A lot of divorcees drive these because they got them in the settlement. That's also why you photo pimps can find these cars covered with gorgeous slutty girls, the kind you can't take home to mother...
Hummers and SUVs go with the Mom and Pop class along with Chryslers. Cute chicks will drive them as long as they can get the car keys from Dad. They can carry the surfboards, skies and climbing gear...
The country girls and Barreo set, and even the kids from the hoods go for the restored, modified, and Nascars. A low rider convert will fill with all the brown beauties on the block and if they can steal their dads or their boyfriends all the better.
Mazdas gather the most diverse groups because they are so unknown - they are not on any chick hot list because the air heads don't even know they exist... The non rotaries are student cars or mom and pop cars... a little lower on the lists than Hondas and Nissans -
But the rotaries - these are a whole different ball game - these are Techy cars! These are for connoisseurs, for those who appreciated art, investment, and intellect. That knocks out the monied status seekers, the slutty air heads, and most of the kids in the hood. You still might get some of the racing set, mom and pop set (especially Pop), and students, investors, and the monied who want the very best and have grown weary of their BMW and their Porche. The little old ladies who drive one? They are smart enough to appreciate them, and they haven't got time enough left for the others!

this list is weird. are these cars chick cars or cars that chicks love to see guys in? there's a huge difference between the two.

 

I think the point of the article is that the difference isn't as great as it once was. Women are gravitating more towards traditionally men's cars such as trucks and sports cars because they like them too and its more socially acceptable to be seen in them nowadays.

Women want them for the same reason men want them, among other things, to attract the opposite sex. Think about it, if you're a car guy, whats hotter, a female driving a Camry or an RX-8? All things being equal, I'd certainly go after the girl in the RX-8

 

The list is just top chick cars, not "sexiest cars" as they try to make them sound.

You guys crack me up ... that article had absolutely nothing to do with the car "getting a guy some chicks." It was about what chicks are buying themselves!

Obviously roadsters will be on this list, as well will your highly selling American muscle cars, and affordable attractive cars. This is not a " best cars to get chicks in", however, if you are driving one of these cars, you certainly can have a chance at drawing the attention of a woman, since it's either a car she wants or thinks is sexy. I happen to think the Tiburon, regardless of of it's performance lacks, is a very nice looking car. When I see one, I do think " great looks for the money". It might be the best looking " all show no go" car out there. If the RX8 was made into a convertible, it would no doubt be on this list.
