What not to do to your car!

And what about the blue dye from that 1 guest who stays in the pool for 7 hours without a bathroom break? Don’t want that in your cooling system.

To a certain generation, the RX7 in that livery/rice is a classic. It's also likely part of why they're so bloody expensive. I know Fast and the Furious is a big reason why I got into import cars, and subsequently the 8.
I wonder if Dom's "Hero car" would be worth more or less than an unmolested 7 at this point.

I do agree that the F&F movie helped introduce millions to the Import scene and honestly was probably a positive thing for the Japanese brands. I only posted that vehicle here because as much as I enjoyed the original and what it did for cars like the FD, I just don't understand liking Dom's car so much that you'd replicate it. Because honestly, it's not even that nice of of a body kit.
Now, if that is one of the 4 or 5 vehicles used for the actual filming of the movie than I take it back and props to them but I'm pretty sure it's not.
as for which is worth more: if it has the certificate of authenticity from the movie filming I'd say that would go for more than an unmolested FD.

Those Zs are going for big money and he trashes it trying to show off.
I hope he had to sell it to someone who would take care of it.

Reminds me of that classic video of a guy trying to do a burnout in a C6 Z06 and ends up destroying the clutch. This one is worse, obviously.

When I drove the Dragon at DGRR 2017, I took my time going up then back. Then I really went as fast as I could within my limits. No issues EVER - in part due to slow car fast and great driving dynamics of the RX-8. I would have probably taken a crowd out in a Mustang GT or have been killed in the Ferrari. Too much hp sometimes isn't the solution.

Too much HP isn't necessarily bad, but too much HP for a given chassis is bad news bears.
Jeremy drove a C7 ZR1 and even he feels a bit terrified driving that thing, and even commented on and sympathized with Mark Reuss's crash of the C7 ZR1 used as an Indy pace car.

Twice as many highway fatalities occur on two-lane roads, according to the latest statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The report reveals that 75% of two-vehicle, head-on collisions occur on undivided two-lane roads—and head-on collisions are disproportionately deadly.
And if there were anyone who's opinion / advice is relevant to the topic, I think this man is a good candidate (albeit not apples to apples).

This dgrr 'event' sounds like such a bad idea and I'm surprised there hasn't been a related fatality over the years. No one should ever drive beyond posted speed limits, especially on twisty rural 2-lane highways. Reckless driving and other types of behaviors are incredibly immature (like I'm still in high school / think 'coal rolling' is fun, etc) and unbelievable law enforcement hasn't caught onto these profiles and issue warrants / arrests. I could easily make a HUGE list of pseudo auto-journalist (and tube wannabes) who break multiple laws while documenting their actions on camera. I think there needs to be an online crime division hunting offenders down. Personal feelings aside, it's easy to see what's right and just go to the track if you want to drive fast.

Where I live, the penalty for speeding that's not caught by a cop directly is just a fee sent to the registered vehicle owner - no points for the driver. I'd imagine a lot of people going to DGRR has zero issue paying for that small fee. At that point, it's no different than the annual Whistler run we have around here: you essentially pay for the "speeding ticket" in advance in the form of an admission fee, and then go wild. Cops can't do anything since it's a sanctioned event.
It could also potentially affect the local tourism, so that's another reason why I could see the government turning a blind eye on it.
The Autobahn example is actually pretty hypocritical when it comes to environmentalism, but the comments below the article pointed out what one of my favourite videos of all times pointed out: most people just flow with the surrounding traffic and the speed limit is ignored. Adding in a speed limit? Doesn't mean a whole bunch to most people on Autobahn, but it could make for some difference in $$$ from tourism, and unless you actually support the dangerous American style highway chase(that's mostly done because of, you guessed it, $$$ - those helicopters mostly belong to broadcasting networks), there just isn't much of a way to meaningfully reinforce it on Autobahn, I'd imagine. Again, ticket money means nothing to those who can afford to drive that fast anyway.
Then there are the elephants in the room: "abused good intention" and "slippery slope" points. The speed limit for one road may be too high, but the government usually lopes all the roads around it together and you end up with speed limits that are way too low to generate more reve... Ugh enhance safety. Yep, definitely for safety.
