What was your previous car?

Acura tl. But before that an mr2. I see the rx8 as a higher end MR2. Known for its handling. Not especially torquey, built for turns and to be fun. Oh also unreliable. When I got my MR2 it had 3 leaks that I didn't know about and **** was breaking all the time.
But my god the rx8 is awesome. I never knew cars could make turns this fast, I always thought I just sucked at driving and the people passing me in S2ks just were godly drivers. Now I really understand what a decently priced sports car can do.
Well. I'm used to having a high maintenance car. I just got my 8 yesterday and its steering is wonky, but I don't mind going to the mechanic for this car.
Yah that was long

Hehe '97 Blackgold Saturn. Yeah I know. Huge leap into the rx8. It was my first car at 16 and had it for 8 years through college till finally the transmission and engine gave out on me. Now I'm busy at work getting my 8 into something I'll enjoy for the next 8+ years.

2007 Pontiac G5 GT, I had a few mods done. Full ZZP engine back exhaust, 1.75 primaries going to 2.5" with high flow cat and resonator. Had a decent exhaust note to it. Koni shocks/struts & Eibach sportline lowering springs. It's funny going from a car where things HAD to be changed on it to make it up to par, versus a car where everything on it is already above par.

Still have my 1969 Mustang S code Mach 1 and my 1967 CJ-5. Other then that I have had 2 other RX8 2004 and 2005, now we are driving a 2010 RX-8 GT. Previous daily drivers were 4runners and FJ cruisers. The 8s are more fun to drive but still get the same fuel economey

2005 Honda Element LX. I actually still have the car and I don't have any future plans of getting rid of it. To some, it's ugly, but the car is bulletproof and it has been the most useful and dependable vehicle out of all the cars we've owned... 150,000 miles and going strong.

'96 F-250 4x4 Powerstroke 5-speed. I wouldn't have sold it if the bedsides and front fenders weren't shot with rust. It was an absolute animal in the winter, and there was no stopping it. It was fun as hell, but my 8 is a whole different kind of fun.

2012 VW Golf R.
Previous to the Golf R, I owned a 2009 Mazda RX-8 for 3 years.
After driving the R for a couple of years, I decided that I wanted another 8, so I sold the R and purchased a 2011 R3. I definitely like the 8 better, the R is faster 0-60, but the 8 is better in every other way.

2001 Chevy 3500 dually, longbed with a Duramax. I miss that truck everyday. Not only did it have like 750tq and faster in a straight line then my 8, but also got the same fuel mileage :/
