I agree with Paul. that bike must have been shaking like crazy if not executed properly.. and yes, 120 in my car took a lil while, not too long.. what i did notice is that once i got to 118, it was like 10 seconds to get to 119.. then i thought i was about to speed by a cop, but it was just a stupid prius with advertising on the bumped. scared the crap out of me

meh, the bike will be fine is it is put together properly. its just the thought that at those speeds, a muscle twitch can cause an imbalance. the bike should be more stable at speed but thats just scary

Heh I had a cat run out in front of me on one of those runs...I nearly sucked the seat up my *** :P He did the damn stutter step where he couldnt decide whether to freeze or run and you can only get the bike to move so much at those speeds...

A bike is rock solid at those speeds. Its literally like its on a rail.

I cant find the video anymore, but I used to race a guy with a 900+rwhp DLM supercharged viper on my sportbike back in 03(yes he beat me). Here is a thread with at least a mention of it. I'm Mawnee954
http://www.sportbikes.net/archives/f...d.php?t=131908

Some peopel talk about going fast, but I used to race before racing was the "in" thing

146mph in a Jaguar XJS and 121 in my RX8. Also I wouldn't recommend the 146 to anyone with a convertable top down, gets windy as hell at those speeds lol.

Lol I havent talked to that guy in a couple years. Last time I talked to him he had bought a new SRT-10 as a daily driver(yea, two vipers) and was getting frustrated with some issues on his GTS(the supercharged one). He sent it in to be upgraded to over 1000hp and it wasnt running right after. Infact the last time we talked I bumped into him infront of a bank, our cars were idling and his car would randomly redline on its own. I jokingly offered to run him with my vette(which was no slouch,it made 660rwhp) and he didnt trust his car. Wouldnt have stood a chance though, my Vette was fast, but even at its best wasnt as fast as my bike.

haha sorry, its like.. 2 really good.. well, 3.. good cars you're talking about. man thats awesome right there haha. im curious what made you go for an 8? Handling? It's superb in the mountains for me..

although that made me twist my head that his would randomly redline.. i guess that makes it easier for him to take a video of his car revving.. with only 1 person

heh long story. My vette reached a point where it was barely a street car. I kept going through parts and had it apart every other weekend to replace something I'd broken(clutches, torque tube, rear ect). Housing market crashed while I was building my new house leaving me stuck with my old house and two mortgages. The vette became an unneeded expense. I demodded and traded in the vette. I knew nothing would compare power wise and I still had my bike so I just looked for something "sporty" and different.....ended up with an Rx8. And then of course I missed the power..turboed the rx8..still missed the torque and demodded and traded my rx8 in to get another vette lol(my current Z06)

now thats an awesome long story

i wish it were that easy for me.. I'm struggling with just getting engine mounts alone.. and a replacement fender from the previous owners accident.. all the paint shops want to charge me $400 for a paint job on the fender alone, given that i supply them with a new one.. and they wont match the same shade of yellow on my car so they'd have to blend it in with the door? for $400 it should match.

i hate to say it, but i might just have to drive it as is for a while, while i pay off my parents for it, before i can do anything at least.. sigh

That is one awesome example of a bike meeting a Viper... However, this one may be cooler..... Ladies and Gentlemen, the Dodge Tomahawk!....

For anyone not familiar with it, its a bike with a V10 viper engine

138.

Cross winds pushing the car back, with a bumpy slanted road.

187 Mph - BMW E39 M5 Dinan s2
134 Mph - 2004 Mazda Rx8

Bit of a speed difference there, but i guess also a bit of a price difference.

you only have enough gears to hit 180, did you put a taller transmission in your spaceship too?

I used to live in Germany for about 3 years and I drove to work every day on theautoban, my BMW 318ti would hit the rev limited in 5th gear doing 220Kph which is about 140 miles per hour not bad for a car with 140hp. I think the Rx8 would hit 165 on the autobahn because you have so much time to get there. I miss German roads

123mph on a narrow back road thru a narrow bridge. that was scary as hell. I didnt feel the same when on my bike doing 140mph..
