I agree, but why put your most powerful motor in a four door boxy car? The Eclipse at least looks somewhat like a sporty/sports car. Same for the WRX (sorry Ike), great motor in a boxy four door. Stick any of those turbo fours in a rear drive 2700lb. car and you've got a killer.
And the Evo doesn't look sporty, it looks ricey. So does the STi. That's not to say they're bad cars, but if I bought one of them it would be in spite of the looks, not because of them.

I think we're getting off the original question, but, no I don't think a huge wing looks sporty. And you can't see the intercooler. Besides an intercooler does not a make it a sports car. I've seen turbo diesel trucks with intercoolers. What the original question was, what was the original question?
Anyway I still think Mitsu and Subaru should put the engine and drivetrain of the EVO and WRX in something that looks a bit more exotic. Oh yeah, that was the question, inexpensive exotic looking cars. Well, I think we beat this one to death.
