Those of you wanting to buy a Ford Focus RS500 will have to pray for someone to cancel their order. Despite the fact that the car's price has not been revealed, the limited edition Focus is already sold out in the UK, according to Autocar.
You can watch a 66-second video of the car right here on WCF.
Once photos of the car were released early, an automaker source tells the magazine that "people were literally walking into dealers or calling them up and placing orders for the car." Ford tried to handle the situation as best they could, but the source says that "because we had to quickly bring the car's launch forward we hadn't even briefed the dealers on its existence. It led to some quite confused phone calls between dealers and head office."
Still, Ford is going to have some explaining to do to the rest of the car's fanbase. Orders were not supposed to begin until next month. Only 500 units of the special edition are to be produced, with sales taking place in the UK and 19 other European markets.
The matte-black hatch will use a tuned version of the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that produces 345 horsepower (257 kW, 350 PS) and up to 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque. The car hits 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph).
With such extreme interest in a car that hasn't been fully revealed, look for Ford to take full advantage by pricing their car higher than planned. The Ford Focus RS500 will be shown to the public in Leipzig, Germany, on April 9.

Seeing problems from people I know experience poor reliability, poor build quality and very poor customer service I'd never buy one unless it was an old school Shelby GT that I would work on myself. Even then I'd rather drop a chevy motor into it, better motor quality IMO.
Again, to each their own.

As for me, I just like cars, dont care who makes the car. If its good and solid, i wont hate, regardless what badge is on the car.
ONly thing i dont like about this car is, its FF. Wish EUR Ford would go awd.
Also EuR ford is on another planet then US ford.

Indeed they do for Rally racing, yet those are factory sponsored cars, not consumer ones that may modify their car and compete in a race. They're not the same.

Perhaps the customer service and reliability of the models sold over there are better, that may be. But here in the states, my experience still stands to base my opinion.
I've seen the racing versions overseas such as the Focus and so forth and I agree, they look badass. But for a consumer based version, I wonder how well the support and reliability is contrast to a similar platform supported base in the states
There is a reason I stated multiple times, to each their own.
I'm not sure why you said it sounds like the RX8 and Mazda though.. My comment as stated was directed towards Ford in general and issues I've seen with various models, not the Focus alone.

well, i know guys personally with us model focuses running around at 300hp on stock motors, for well over 2 years, so to me, more almost doubling engine output and still daily driving them with no issue shows good reliability, not to mention some of the boosted esocrts i have seen and built on stock motors with over 300hp on a stock motor. stock mustangs running 500hp on aftermarket boost daily driven, p;d turbo svt contours daily driven with well over 350hp on stock motors, my car on a stock motor, old lightnings daily driven
i will say most fords do look a bit better over the water, but the reiliability is the same. GOOD. and mostly hit or miss.

I didn't judge the RS in anything but looks, I judged Ford in general off my experience and others I know personally. That was the point I was trying to make.

Ford may have it's faults, but so does every car company.
And putting a Chevy engine in a Ford,it's been done...Just means you can't afford to go Ford since you spent your life savings on the Shelby getting it and can't afford the mortgage on your trailer anymore you would have to go with a small block chevy to put out 400bhp for under $1000.
See above statement on truth

Considering that RS Focus is a consumer model released to the public like a Cobra is or a ZO6 Vette you should probably get your facts straight before typing and making yourself look uneducated.

Hate to say it,but you don't see Ford in a class action lawsuit on killing people with faulty gas pedals, and you don't see Ford getting a penalty from the NHTSA in the amount of $16.4 million dollars either, bring up Chevy/Government Motors and they got handed a fine over $1 million a couple years ago about faulty wiper systems.
I agree but, I never said any company didn't. Don't add words trying to mix up what I said.

Hate to say it, but you don't see the idea behind opinion. If you got your dick stuck up your *** and don't like it and tried to stop ******* yourself over but everyone else said it felt good, would you leave it in there because of what they felt, or what you felt and experienced?
I agree but, I never said any company didn't. Don't add words trying to mix up what I said.
Afford to go Ford? Well seems we have a fanboi here. Actually it just means I can afford to do what I know performs better and more reliably coming from a racing background myself along with my old man who has raced since the 60's with far more extensive experience in his left nut than you have combined. Again I what I stated was preference but no, you had to go all haywire fueling this into some debate, get your dick out of your ***.
See above statement on the real truth
Try a mix of pick-ups, sedans and sports cars that go well from the 80's through 2000's. My mother's 2006 F150 had the cruise control switch issue. Taken care of? Not likely. Next time try not to be a presumption filled ***, makes yourself easily look like an ignorant idiot. You know the rule, never go full retard
The lack of reading comprehension of people on this forum astounds me. Who stated facts? I stated my opinion on the looks as everyone else does on threads like these, and I stated why I'd never get a Ford. Learn to read next time, might help prevent yourself from looking like an idiot.

Sorry man,you made an assumption about me that was false.Just because when you decided to go gay after your experience of a girl dropping a vaginal blood fart on your face while you were going down on her doesn't mean all guys hate ***** and like dicks up the ***.That is not what the conversation was about,it was about cars, not your sexuality and the jealousy you have of my heterosexuality.
Sounds like in general, you are a ******* retard living in your father's shadow. He may have experience in racing and track, that's fine.So do I,been racing since I was in high school and that has been a while.
To give you hint about your e-thuggish behavior, You might research the people you talk **** to,they might just show up on your door step and shove a wiffle ball bat up your *** since you have a fascination with that and then make you lick it after that you might get drug out to the street and curb checked. Just saying, crazy **** happens to e-thugs all the time, just ask the kid on the Neon forum who had his SRT-4 burned to the ground. So you might want to take your douche boy behavior back to myspace or facebook and join the adult conversations on the forums
My experience with an RX8 shall we say wasn't good by any means, but it doesn't make me hate Mazda as a company or bash them in general.

^ You're an idiot, plain and simple. You got served because you a) twisted what I said b) turned it into a biased ignorant debate when I simply presented my opinion and c) lack reading comprehension to understand what you're even talking about before opening your jaw strap
I'm done bothering to hold a conversation with little dipshits, try again holding your own when you grow up kid.
And your dick is still up your ***, so go **** yourself.
