WTF, my car is a salvaged car?
I am soooo angry. Random ranting, don't mind me.
I am trying to sell my Mits 3000GT SL on Ebay. Nothing is wrong with it - nothing ever has been wrong with it. I bought it in PERFECT condition and with what I thought was a clear title.
So I list it on eBay... and they take it down, telling me that I listed the title incorrectly?
So, I do a carfax report and apparently it's had "front impact reported" and that it was sold at an auction as a salvaged vehicle? W.T.F.
So does this mean I am not going to get my car's true value? Because it's in amazing shape, I've had it for 3 years (with absolutely no issues) and it's news to me that something was ever wrong with it...
I'm thinking I might go back to the dealer who sold it to me and make his car a salvage vehicle.

Yeah, sucks. That's why it's always a good idea to do a Carfax on a car prior to buying it. There is, sadly, no real easy way to get any decent money on it unless someone is very trusting of the body. Salvage titles are scary.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Sorry for the spam, it magically posted itself twice, I took care of it .
Ahhh... although I payed way over full price for it 3 years ago. I totally should have checked carfax. But really I've had 0% issues with this car... it's been totally reliable besides minor crap like having to get my antenna replaced.
I should just keep the damn thing.

3000GT's are really nice cars. I'd say keep it, but if you really want to sell it, put it as a salvaged title, let them know it's perfect so far and see if someone will pay full price or at least mostly...

Check with someone local about going after the seller for not disclosing the salvage title when you purchased it. i believe thats illegal in the state of PA

i found a couple of PDF s on the PaDMV site too

ouch KK, that sucks!
when you registered the car every year, what did the registration say?
Either way as Zoom said, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to not disclose a salvage car when selling it.

It's never said salvage that's for damn sure... The report definitely says it was auctioned as a salvage vehicle... any chance they can remove that from the title?

Sorry about the 3000gt though, I'm sure someone out there is willing to pay what you want for it though. How much are you asking out of curiousity?

wow Kelli that sucks,,,,
I would definately follow up on Zooms advice, gather some ammo, and go in and demand the difference between what you would get for it as a salvaged as a clean title... The dealer will put up a fight but if you get the right documents they have no choice...
