Update:

So I was looking over the Carfax report... and I realized something.

I bought the car with 55k miles in 2005, this report is for a car that was registered with 62k miles in 2002... so either the odemeter in my car was messed with or this isn't the right vin#/carfax report...? Do these kinds of mix ups happen?

 

check the vin on your car- drivers side bottom corner of the windsheild from outside. if its the same maybe your dealing with a faux vin stolen car. BUT its probably just a mix up

 

I hope so! Maybe I'm just an idiot and have been using the wrong vin #.

Either way, my listing on eBay has been removed 3 times... if I re-list with a new vin # that might look odd .

 

wow, this is sounding more and more fishy as this progresses . for your GTO, i would check the vin on the dash, the vin on the door jam and the vin on your firewall to see if they all match. if not, you need to give me call because we will have to start collecting tongues.
