Seller responded until I sent payment. After that I've gotten one response saying he sent the coils out, but I asked him three times for a tracking number via PM and haven't gotten a response. Can't file a claim through PayPal either, since I guess the money was sent as a donation.

That sucks man. Hope this guy decides to come through after all. Amazing how people are in no hurry after they get your money.

Yeah, I hope he did actually ship and then just got busy. What's funny is that this exact scenario happened to him when he purchased something from iLikeEatPoo.

Filed a claim with PayPal. Still no response from seller. Don't really believe I'll be getting one either.

NEVER send the money as a donation!!!!!!!!!!! And if a seller asks you to do so, seriously stop and consider the transaction! (Actually, according to the Paypal terms and conditions, someone selling an item may not even request that the payment be sent as a gift! Unless the money is, in, fact, a gift and they are not actually selling anything)

Yes, it eliminates the paypal fees (for the seller!) but it completely removes paypal from their role as middleman. The whole POINT of using an escrow service is so you can file a claim with them in case this happens! Don't get caught like this!
