On that note...my advice to you would be, not to take business personally, not to operate emotionally in business or on the internet when possible. Or, put another way, you can pour your heart and soul into your business and into the community...one of those will pay you back, and one of those will **** on you, you can figure out which is which. It took me years to learn this. I thought all the personal energy I put into my business and the community would come back to me when I needed it. For years I put hours daily into rx7club's community, and look how I got **** on and forgotten about by them. It's cool to help individuals, but don't think for a second that trying to lead a community is going to reward you in life, you're only pissing in the wind.

What do you mean?
I don't usually mind to help anyone out, often for free. I don't usually turn anyone away unless that person is too stupid to help themselves or is clearly manipulating me in some way. However I have also learned not to bend over backwards for "the good of the community" because "the community" will not be there for me when/if I need them. For 8 years I spent between 2 and 6 hours a day dispensing free technical/repair advice on rx7club. I no doubt helped that site collect thousands of members, because the members knew that I was there to answer their questions. Those answers were well written, not hearsay or regurgitated misinformation posted by some kid on the internet. As many have told me, getting accurate info about these cars is hard to do.
After dedicating all that work into 'building the community", the forum, led by some prominent members of "the community" kicked me in the ***, told me not to let the door hit me on the way out, and the "community" was like "sorry, oh well, good luck" and stayed right there on that same forum like the sheep that they are.
The bottom line is, "persons" are usually intelligent and reasonable, but "people" when they get together are often dumb as a rock, and these threads on internet forums are clear examples of that.

Yeah some people can be traitors and two faced.. Ive helped some people myself for free.. decarbing motors.. installation of turbo kit, intakes, exhausts, and brake jobs.. luckily ive had people who are there when i need someone to help me out.

Again, expecting the community as a whole to reciprocate when you're in need of assistance is a stretch. Look for MazdaManiac's customer rules/expectations to see what I mean.
The smart thing to do is never get into a position where you depend on that element in the first place. What kind of a company would Black Halo Racing be if we had to depend on our customers and our community to get us out of a jam?

ISSUE PENDING RESOLUTION!!
I really, really, really hate to post here, but I dont have a lot of options.
First, I dont want to suggest to ANYone that they should not do business with Jeff or any of his partners (if he has official partners, I dont know.) I think Jeff's work is as close to TOP RATE as you can get and he generally knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.
Nevertheless, I am starting to wonder if I am going to see my upgrade kit (paid for around the 6th of January, 2009.) By my estimation, that is 1 year and 5+months from date of payment and, at a minimum, 1 year from date of expected delivery.
I have asked for my money back, but have received no reply.
Again, I hate to post stuff like this in a public forum. I would be very happy to receive either the kit or a refund. Hell, I would be estatic with an email (which is simply my username at yahoo.com) and would consider deleting this post with just a little communication.
Interestingly, when mazsport went out of biz, I was able to get my money back through my CC. Given the time lapsed, that recourse may not be available to me. I am NOT linking MM to Scott; two totally different situations. One may or may not have engaged in biz practices that may have been felonious, the other is simply slow. It is just ironic.
Again, I admire Jeff and consider him a great asset. I recommend that folks work with him. I am simply starting to think that I invested my money unwisely.

ISSUE PENDING RESOLUTION
I appretiate y'alls concern. I really do. But none of us knows what is going on. That is why I really didn't want to post this here. MM could be going through God-knows-what (or "'God' can kiss my ***", as is more likely with MM) It isn't for us to speculate, particularly here by those of us that are not direct participants. My post was a prod and as a way of broadcasting information. It was not an attempt to chum the waters to initiate a feeding frenzy. That would be inappropriate and is not in my interest.
Let's try to be civil and measured.
EDIT: See, in the time it took for me to write all that blather, the issue was addressed.
Second EDIT: Jeff. please use carbonrx8 whither yahoo.com. Don't "Reply"

Bad customer service
I agree that Jeff at MasdaManiac is not very good at running a professional business. I have had a horrible experience, wish I would have looked him up before I gave him my money.
He is so bad that I was willing to spend an extra $350.00 to get my AP tuned from a true professional.

Who are you?
I don't have any customers named "Sinister Racing".
Nor do I have any current customers with a Long Beach mailing address.
So, seeing how you only have one post here and none of your information is valid, I think its pretty safe to assume that you are just another troll.
