My apologies for suggesting that anyone can do what you do. Until noses are actually applied to grindstones, all talk is moot.
Nevertheless, I am not so sure that your entire response was accurate. Particularly this part:
Really? I would call the following a solicitation.
From 12-11-2007
GReddy Turbo Upgrade
I am not sure it that matters a lick, but I assure you was not wondering into fantasy

The new turbo will flow almost 20 lbs more air, making it easily capable of nearly 400 RWHP (though you will need to address fueling and spark sometime before that), but will spool just as quickly as the Mitsu turbo included in the kit.
I'm not quite ready to bring these to market - I need to arrange a vendor agreement with the forum and elsewhere as well as have pictures and a dyno to go along with my claims - but I will be able to do this really soon.
I won't quote a price here because I don't want to violate any rules of the forum, but you can e-mail me if you have any questions.
The reason I'm PM'ing you is simply to ask if this is something in which you might be interested (knowing that you have the GReddy kit and the Int-X).
If not, please feel free to simply ignore this SPAM.

Absolutely true, though I have .CSV dumps of every PM I've ever sent or received on RX-8Club since April of 2005 and I haven't found a record of this yet after about 4 hours of searching.
It is just out of character for that PM to have not been a response to something, rather than a "cold-call". I don't do cold-calls.
I'll keep looking for the whole thread, just for my own sanity (or what is left of it), so I can understand what might have precipitated that message.

Clear your PM box and I will reply it back to you exactly as I got it. I just happened on it today accidentally. I wasn't actually looking for it and was surprised it was a PM and not an email as I remembered it. I can even send you all subsequent responses, at least as much as I have.

Wow, sorry the original GReddy kit I sold you has turned into such a cluster. :/
Speaking for Jeff, sure his communication sucks ***, but he has always come through for me, even traveling to San Diego to tune a car that was at that point, un-tunable. He then followed up and came to my house while I was out of town and tuned my car rock solid. I trust him enough to be in my house while I'm away. He isn't out to screw people, he got screwed on several fronts and the unfortunate side of that is **** rolls down hill.
As far as your offer carbon, I think it is an excellent idea. The people who have issue with it are probably also the type who wouldn't invest in a high risk stock. I see nothing wrong with it and if I needed/ wanted this kit I would jump on it in a second. Sure it is a risk but that is what life is, the person that buys this option has a CHANCE to save 500 bones, but also has the chance to lose 1,500. It also helps that I live in phoenix just across town from Jeff. If anyone thinks carbon is going to screw you, I can vouch that he will not. I actually shipped him my used GReddy kit before receiving payment, and he knew it. The check cleared just fine.

Thanks but the original kit worked out just fine! It has been a blast installing driving and upgrading it. The only minor annoyance has been taking delivery of this new upgrade kit.
I am getting ready to sell the kit you sold me. Hopefully it will make someone as happy as yours made me..

UPDATE!!!!
I have not received my kit.
That is all.
No! Wait! There is more!
After considerable thought and consideration, I am withdrawing my offer to sell the option to buy this kit.
I absolutely believe that Jeff has every intention to deliver this kit, and in that light, feel it reasonable to make the offer that I did.
However, I am also convinced that Jeff is incapable of delivering on his word, and in light of that belief, I find it unconscionable to make such an offer. If I felt that there was even a 1%, or 0.001% chance for that matter that I would take delivery, I would maintain my offer.
I appretiate all the discussion around the topic.
Jeff, please ship the turbo as is so that I can have someone finish it or at a minimum rebuild it. Blouch, CBRD and others have all told me that they can do whatever I want to it. I will take all the bits and pieces that were supposed to go with the kit as well.

oh yes, I saw it. Which only solidifies the point
And while I share the sentiment to a degree, I must admit there's something to said post, there comes a point when pics out of service manuals and parts databases no longer are useful, and anyone trying to mess with their own car should be capable of looking up said stuff on their own anyway.
