Goodest guy: Kane ppo2
Some of you have been following my thread, Kane Tunes My Car, but I wanted to make a special thread to thank Kane for everything.
So here's the scoop. I didn't know kane before I met him in sarasota other than from forum posts. when i showed up, he was still hungover from an evening with swoop. The smell of homemade rum was still present.
stumbling over to shake my hand, i could tell he wasn't one avoid the gym. He's not a menacing figure, but you wouldn't want to scrap with him, i wouldn't think.
And he couldn't be nicer or more willing to help a total stranger. Within just a few minutes, he had his laptop out going over my AP data logs. He entered those into a raw version of his "Baseline" software, and it spit out some values that he had me go over and enter into racetuner to create a new map. I felt like a tuner for the first time in my life. It was awesome.
After that, he sent me off with hellhammer (a forum member) to go check the new data and make sure the fuel trims weren't going squirrelly. Then once that was all good, he put the finishing touches on the map, and that was that.
All this was free of charge.
But that's not all. As I was leaving, he asked me to remind him to send me a PPO2 shift ****. I was thinking, "are you serious? you just tuned my car for free and now i get a free shifter too? you're awesome, dude." Well I didn't need to remind him.
The beautiful **** is pictured below. It's much lighter than stock, and it has a great feel, almost like a cueball but more ergonomical. you can't really see from the pic, but the writing is actually below a dome of glass like a snow globe. very nice.
And since meeting him, he's been more than willing to answer all of my stupid questions. Furthermore, he's gone out of his way to help me get a 13.2 afr down to 12.5.
This weekend I'll be using a new version of baseline to make my tune even better than it already is.
All in all, wow. Thanks, man!

I never met a gym that I didn't like.... or that didn't hate me - LOL.
PS - Swoope still did me in; that guy can drink....
Thanks for the nice words Chase - and for not getting mad at me for being an hour or more late.
PPS - Note to self... become more menacing.

ha. you didn't really stumble over. and i may have over exaggerated the lingering rumminess of your musk for dramatic effect.
i am glad i missed that rum though.
edit: i should mention that the threading on that **** is spot on. as soon as you can't turn it anymore, the writing is right where it should be. my stocker always felt like it was overthreaded by about a cm so it either sat a little off or was loose. so, good job.
