Himni racing - Issue resolved
#26
okay well they just sent me tracking info and it was shipped just yesterday and will arrive tomorrow....whatever.... I'm still mad because as I stated before it felt like I had to threaten them with a dispute through paypal just to get a simple response back. Plain ridiculous will never order through them ever again period. Now I hope everything is correct with my turbo,
#28
There is. Derex'8 placed his order & 8 business days latter, it was delivered to him. That's the short of it all....8 days.
The turbo he ordered is available with a few different turbine housings & the turbo must be configured as such before it ships out. I don't like the idea that one of our customers isn't totally happy & even though 99% of them are, there will always be that 1 %. Himni Racing is dedicated to all of our customers but it's imposable to make everyone happy, all the time. That 1% will always be there no matter how much work is put forth. But we always look forward to making good on any issue a customer might have & that applies to Derek as well.
There were a few band wagon comments in regards to who we are & our creditability. HR is all about rotary & boost. We have been building RX-7's/ rotary cars & supplying performance parts to the rotary community long before the RX-8 was even a thought. We aren't the biggest guys by any means but have 2 different shop locations & over 15 years in the rotary world. We were around back in the days when RX-7club.com guys were complaining about the RX-8 guys being on their forum. We were here when the race was started to see what shop would produce a forced induction kit for the RX-8 1st. (hat's off to Cam at Pettit) We were taking turns designing our own virtual RX-8's on the Mazda site before the car was even released. HR is active in many of our own builds, customer projects / rotary events & get-togethers , both locally in FL & throughout the US. We have been giving back to the rotary world since the beginning with things like donations & prize payouts, sponsorships, parts giveaways, in depth tech support drawn from our own experiences & even supplied free work/parts/labor to different guys that really needed it. We moored back when great contributors to our rotary world were taken from us (guitar junkie, you're forever missed) & when new standards were set. We built our roots under the hoods of RX-7's with busted knuckles & behind the math that is boost. We were the very 1st shop to bring genuine Garrett GT series turbos to ebay back in the day. Himni Racing are the guys that will list a universal part in their site's rotary categories with a lower cost then found in it's 'actual category.
Each person is different & to some, waiting 8 business days for your turbo to be configured, shipped & arrive is too much. For other's, waiting one day is unacceptable. But this thread doesn't do any justice to the 1000's of other HR customers that got their parts before expected & or on time. There has even been a few circumstances that a customer was upset that their order shipped out too quickly.(..true story) If we dropped the ball with communication, I do apologize but that is not a real reflection as to who we really are. Our dedication to you is what we value most.
Happy boosting guys!

Maybe you all are missing what ignited this issue. It honestly had nothing to do with the time
fram at all but the "COMMUNICATION" I tried for days after I placed my order just to get a
status, update, confirmation that you all received my order and I could not get a hold of a single soul, period. Now how does that look from a customer standpoint........
Remeber thinking to myself, did this company go belly up, Why isn't anybody answering or returning my calls, I left plenty voicemails......How come it took me filing a dispute through paypal just to get a simple damn response from you all?
Can you answer me that?
AGAIN this whole situation could have been avoided just through a simple email response keeping the customer informed.

Oh and as far as the turbo goes...Poor QA & QC on Garretts part as I had to get custom oil feed and drain flanges built as the flanges on the turbo itself were machined out of spec, which caused the bolts to not seat or lock in properly

"If we dropped the ball with communication, I do apologize but that is not a real reflection as to who we really are."
If you didn't get a quick response back, I apologize but your filing a dispute has nothing to do with us responding when we did. I've already explained that messages & emails are taken in the order they are received. It just so happened that we got to your original messes around the time that you filed it. Again, I made that clear before & it's displayed in our messages you posted on the 1st page of this thread.
It's important that we don't overlook that you had us pegged as the worst place ever in less then 4 days after you placed your order. Technically, you started this thread 3 days after the date your order was placed not counting the actual order date. The bulk of this thread had us as being soooo terrible in only 3 days. So much so that guys are telling you to file a CC complaint. Really, a CC in 3 days is justified? Many people would view that as impatience & just jumping the gun. However, I'm not saying that we shouldn't of gotten so backed up, thus causing the delay in getting back to you. We will put are best foot forward to help insure that doesn't happen. At the same time, a little patience & benefit of the doubt goes a long way. If you start a transaction with someone, you are then obligated to at least give the other side some benefit before drawling random, premature conclusions. And again, it's worth noting that none of this even effected your order's delivery time. And in the end, getting your order as quickly as possible is what matters most.
I'm not going to argue back & forth with this. If you are dead set on being unhappy & upset, nothing anyone can do is going to change that.
What's wrong Garrett now? The oil feed & drain was machined out of spec & the mounting bolts wouldn't seat correctly? I've never seen or heard of anything like that before. What about the flanges had to be custom machined?

Meh I honestly don't feel like going back and forth with this **** neither ==it is what it is, however the hell you wanna depict it "to make you feel any better and potray your company then so be it bro. I couldn't get a hold of a single soul @ your company and I placed calls between 6-10 times throughout the day.....So naturally I was ******* worried (not even factoring all the other small ****)....
Whats wrong is the ******* 8mm thread x 1.25 pitch bolts wouldn't torque/tighten/lock down properly to either sides of the oil feed or drain flanges of the turbo. My shop had to drill & tap new threads into both flanges

I'm not here to make myself feel better & HR isn't going to be effected by random person here or there that might have something bad to say. It's just part of real life & it happens with all shops, all the time. I'm here for you Derek & to work out any issues you have. That's all.
Is it possible that the bolts you were using might of been a tad too long & retapping it allowed the bolts to pass through the other side & through the casting 'flash'? I'm unclear how you needed a custom flange made for a thread issue. Maybe the flange you were using was made of steel I as such, it was made thinner (flat stock) then a standard size (thinker) aluminum flange? This would also explain the bolt issue bottoming out in some flash.

The length wasn't a issue it was the threads and or hole diamter. I cant get into specifics as
thats not my expertise but the bolts would basically just turn & turn and not lock down when
torqued. I took it to my shop they had the same problem & didn't understand so they tap & drilled I believe it was a 10mm 1.5 pitch thread into the turbo flange....not sure on new thread size but can find out. All I know now is can torque down my oil feed & drain flanges properly to the turbo

Cool, I'm glad you got it worked out in the end. With an issue like that, we would of been more then happy to take care of it for you. Your turbo is covered up to a year.
Derek, if you have any other concerns or questions, please let me know. Thanks & be safe.

Please remember that we are closed on the weekend & emails sent late Friday-Sun are responded to on Monday-Tuesday depending on how many came in.
Your order was placed on the 10th, was shipped the next day on the 11th & an automated email was sent to the email address you have on file with us, letting you know that you're order was processed. I have emailed you with your tracking information & will also send it through PM.
Note to HR customers:
You may contact us any time through email or during business hours by phone. (please check the contact us page on our site for details) If someone doesn't pick up right away, please try back latter or leave a voice mail & someone will get back to you. If sent via email, please allow us some time to receive it & respond. We get a lot of emails & phone calls every day & we have to respond in the order they come in. We have someone dedicated to phone calls during business hours but she may get tied up with other customers.
And no matter what, please keep in mind that 99% of Himni Racing orders are processed & shipped within 24-48 hours after the order is placed. Rest assured that even if you didn't get a response at a given moment, we are here 5 days a week making sure your order is shipped as quickly as possable.
Lastly, Please don't use the contact forum on the website. There is a note found on the page directting you to our email addresses. The form hasn't worked corectly for 5 years & we don't use it.
Thanks & happy boosting!

It's always great to see a new shop coming up. Can you tell us a bit more about BHR?
#41
I'm happy to see that thread.
I'm a french customer.
I allready ordered 3 T3-typed turbos (business stuff) and everything was perfect.
This time I'm wondering if I'm getting abused. I'm wondering if i'll receive my turbo or receive my money back...
This last 2 of august, I ordered a GT3076r for my SR20DET (special T25 turbine housing).
I wasen't so hurried so I let the time roll letting Himni do his job without pressure.
I waited 1 month and bagan to be a bit unsatisfied of that transaction. I started to mail several times.
The 30 of september I finally received an answer :
"Hi Laurent,
This has been shipped out to you. You have not received it yet? Please let us know right away.
Regards,
Sales @ Himni Racing"
The order status was , of course, still saying : "Processing"
So I replied asking the tracking number of the 300usd UPS expediting service I payed for.
I wait 2 days, nothing.
Mailed
nothing
Mailed twice
nothing.
Started to call
nothing
these days I called around 2 or 3 times a day and I try to send at least one mail a day.
Still no info of my turbo.
My engine will now start without turbo for the break in period. But The 27th of november a track day I wait for long time occurs and I have to remap the car with the new turbo before that day.
I'm not these guys arguiing for a week as you can see. I'm also a parts seller (I know how hard it is to manage) but this time is too much.
I need first to know when I receive it?
If not possible, to get my money back or see for another turbo.(not so cool)
RICK or any other HR salesman, answer me this time.

Thats what someone s'aider by phone but i asked for a tracking and Nevers got it.
After that call, that happened short Time after m'y first post on rx8 forum, i was sent m'y turbo. Still without giving me the promised tracking number.
to summurize: Really bad communication for nearly cheapest garretts on the net.
I'll order again but NeXT Time it'll take 2 month delivery, i'll stop ordering.

lolo.37,
Please note that we actually sent your package to you twice & this is the reason for the delay. The 1st time it was delivered back to us. We didn't even know their was an issue for the longest time because it took so long to arrive back to us after it was sent. Over seas shipping isn't cheap but we paid out of pocket to ship it the 2nd time because landing every order is our main priority. I'm not sure if we had the wrong shipping address but it arrived to you safely the 2nd time. Your complete satisfaction is extremely important to us. Please email us at himniracing@digital.net & I will have a discount code made just for you to make up for your delay. We value all of our customers & we won't stop until your completely satisfied.

I ordered a GReddy Turbo ULTIMATE UPGRADE KIT from Himni Racing just last Monday paid only $23.99 for Ground Delivery, and received it Friday. I am completely satisfied with their turn-around time. Will certainly be purchasing from them in the future. Now time to get to work....

Their website says they receive a lot of calls and don't really respond very quickly.
Try emailing them. And you have been waiting less than a week that's not very long.
Contact Us : Himni Racing, Turbocharger, Turbo, Garrett, Turbo Kit, GReddy, Mazda RX-7, HKS, Apexi, TiAL, TurboXS, TurboSmart, Flange, Turbonetics, Exhaust, Intercooler, ACT, Intake

Agreed, in a perfect world the customer would come first. But they are there to turn a profit first and formost. It's unfortunate that many lose sight of that and only focus on pluses and minuses, not the people who actually keep them going.
No idea how busy they are or what their staff is like. Maybe they don't have a receptionist. Besides that, it has been less than a week. I've had to wait 4 times that for stuff to get shipped. **** happens.
