usually when i have something going overseas- i ship to spain, uk, aus often, - i use the online service filling out the customs form online etc and everything has the same number so when you pick a service with tracking its no problem tracking it later. you take the box to the post office they ask a couple questions ala homeland security and off it goes. tracking gets updated automatically to anyone whose email you have designated
however a couple of times i have had to take items to the post office for everything. there they give you preprinted customs form , you fill it out, they look at the stuff and ask you a bunch of questions decide how many different fees beside the shipping they need to charge you, print out a label that goes on the box and hand you back a copy of the customs form and a receipt. the label number doesnt match the customs form number.
the customs form number doesn't work as the tracking number online. both of the times when i needed to find the package i had to go to the post office, hand them the form and then they could find it on the internal system and print out the 2nd page as can be seen in that pdf of Jeff's. the 2nd time i had to do that i happened to have brought the receipt because it was still in my car from the day i shipped it. the person behind the counter says " oh let me see that instead". because one of the numbers on the receipt was actually the tracking number.
GO TO the actual post office and show them the customs form and the track from USPS. La Poste should be able to get some information from their internal system with the customs form.

The post office is inconsistent between what happens when you pay for postage online versus go to the post office for international shipping.

try to get any information by yourself on USPS and you will see that it's clear even if the number changes .

Just a curious question; did the seller ship the item two years after purchase without first having made a confirmed communication contact with the international customer to inform him that it was about to ship, to expect it's arrival, and to also expect a tracking number so he could keep tabs on the delivery process? It seems inconceivable that it could go down that way, hence the question.

6 efen pages of blah blah blah and if I follow correctly the "package" was delivered!?!?! I'm assuming that to be the case as it appears the mods are taking no further action. And the second customer... similar outcome there?

Perhaps we can get another update for activities happening in the background then? I know Jeff personally... have dealt with him on multiple occasions. You on the other hand are some anonymous voice from the void. There has been sufficient dispersions cast to question the integrity of your message.

ERX8 and Luxluc, since we are not getting an answer from the other side can you tell us if you and MM were ever in contact and communicating with each other to make sure that after two years later your international address was still correct, you're package was about to ship, you would be receiving tracking info, etc.?

Communication with Jeff is impossible. Why?
On top of that, my adress is still the same, and he knows it.
If he has really shipped my kit, he must answer USPS a proof that they have delivered the parcel with my signature.
If the kit has been stolen or lost, USPS must refund Jeff the money, and in this case, and only in this case, i want to be refund by him

ERX8 is in possession of 'recently' receiving documentation with a US side Customs Declaration And Dispatch Note with a Bar Code Number (which he posted in this thread and was taken down because of Jeff's address was shown)...and a 'copy' of a USPS Track and Confirm 'showing' the kit was delivered on Sept 02 at 1.04PM...and was Insured.
He has stated that he has not received the kit.
He has made inquiries as to where the kit is....allegedly, with no solution, no one in France appears to know much then.
So "who" signed for it?

I've got the proof that the document let by Jeff are wrong. Several persons, from different companies told me that the tracking number has never existed on their screens, neither in France, neither in America.
On top of that, when a parcel come in France ( from USPS), the tracking number is changed automaticaly. And on the tracking that has been removed, from US to France it was the same number...![Scratchhead](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/scratchhead.gif)
My patience is really over, after 2 years.
That's why, today, i've contacted my insurance and they are going to brief a barrister. Be sure it's true

This is basic common sense. I'd like to believe that I know the vendor well enough to not think of him as a stupid person, so for all you worshipers out there I'm not just a hating on your holy man, but rather trying to understand what the thought process is that results in this situation occurring.

At a minimum it almost seems like, "I'll just throw insurance on it and if it gets there then fine, if not then it's not my problem". Why would the forum staff have to get involved just to get the customer their tracking info only to discover that it was supposedly delivered several weeks prior?
and what about the other customer?
it just doesn't compute ...
