If I pay for something that is in stock, it should ship within a day or two. I have ordered many, many, many things and if it is in stock I usually get in within a week.

But if you guys think more than a week with no movement on the product and lack luster communication is cool then I guess I am a bit too demanding

I dont think a week is a long time to have not received something but with no communication whatsoever i would agree with you that is where I would have a problem . I had the same issue with mazmart i paid for a water pump there were issues with the supplier or machine shop they were using it took forever ultimately the order with the machine shop was canceled my money was refunded the only thing that made me comfortable besides their reputation was the communication. I waited well over a week, two, maybe three. I personally wasnt advocating or saying it was ok just that a week isnt a long time. You really arent demanding anything outrageous but then again you arent demanding anything its your friend who has the issue.

Communication really is and always will be the key i think. The issue is now do you believe what you are being told.

PS i love mazmart my radiator and thermostat are awesome just using them as an example.

Yeah, I have ordered a few things from many of the vendors here (Mazmart, BHR, etc.) without issue and I understand **** happens but crappy communication is no excuse when this is what you do for a living. Not to mention this wouldn't be the first time that a supplier is blamed when an item is listed as in stock.

You are right, I have no dog in this fight. I am just looking out for a local member and putting it out there.

I do think that it would be great to get more accurate delivery times on stuff like that..

A customer isn't going to mind "I'll get back to you on delivery" instead of just putting a guess in there and being incorrect

Meh, I just hate bullshitters and I hate when people try to bullshit me. If I tell a patient something is going to get done by a certain time, it gets done 99% of the time. If a problem arises I call them myself and explain, I don't blame my staff, a supplier, etc., etc.

I guess we all see things differently.

Without knowing the not so common run around and excuses this member is getting, I can not put blame on the vendor. I highly doubt Brice intended to screw this member on his springs, considering he just came clean about the Mazsport thing. Also no one forced this member to buy the springs from Race Roots. It is the members fault for paying what he paid for the springs. I am sure it will work out in the end.

Yes, it is his fault for purchasing there but he didn't know any better. I don't think he intended/intends to screw him but it's still bullshit to pay for springs and then for them not to have even been shipped 10 days later.

This thread served its purpose, it's just useless banter now, might as just close it.

Sometimes the vendors or suppliers drop the ball or have a wrong quantity listed in there computer system. The best thing a vendor can do is keep in touch with the buyer and give any updates.

Laying a "bad vendor" thread in their vendor forum and then closing it from retorts rather than deleting is the lamest ***** move I have seen in a long time.

I have nothing but good things to say about Brice/Race Roots the same as with Ray/BHR, Paul/Mazmart, Yuki/JapanParts etc. and have no hesitation continuing our excellent relationship together.

.
Mark I appreciate the support and comments I look forward to doing business in the future. I did close the thread on my own It would have turned into two banter threads instead of one.

Pretty much how I see it as well, some people have their views and opinions and I respect all of them.

You think I am bullshitting him? If you are going to be his liaison I can show you the emails I have with my supplier about the matter. It pisses me off because I ordered it and it was mine I didnt get to the supplier soon enough and it was sold out beneath me. **** happens I give them **** for it they are getting the order shipped out.

I don't see why you are posting for Richard if he has a problem I prefer my customers to address them directly with me. I am sure you are just "standing" up for him.

He can email me as well anytime if he thinks I am bullshitting him and I can forward the emails. Remember transparency.

This thread went from resourceful and tons of insight from great people to tons of crap now and drama. It has served its purpose I think it should be closed as well but I am not going to press for it.

I have a surprise for everyone 6/1/2010 I had been planning it for about a month now and was going to do it 5/1 but since this bs went down I wanted to wait.

He doesn't think your bullshitting him, I do (my opinion). He didn't ask know, or request I post this, it's all me based on the limited info I have. Facts are it's ten days and he doesn't have ****. I guess I have higher expectations.

I am glad you are being transparent, I'm just trying to push awareness on the site. Doesn't matter who the vendor is. As for this thread, I think it should stay, people can read it, and decide for themselves.

There are a couple of online vendors I would not deal with based on things I have read, seen, etc. I understand there are two sides to every story but typically when you see multiple issues and complaints arise with any business it is usually a sign the end is near.

I guess some people are willing to put up with BS, not me. But hey, we all run our businesses different I guess.

depending on the specifics, sounds like you need to find new suppliers if you desire to sling parts in this manner. or just get to the supplier sooner lol

When the local member first mentioned purchasing these spring from RR, I told him not to (this was before the blow up) because he doesn't hold stock and his price was about 70 bucks higher than other places.

up until recently, I worked in the purchasing/procurement realm.... And as a personal rule I never sold anything I didn't have on hand, because of things like this. If the customer insisted, after informing them that the item was a factory stock item, then I would order based on that and I would never promise a delivery (don't know if did that or not but just saying). The local member had mentioned you gave him tracking info, now if you didn't have the product in hand why would you even process the shipping label if you have no product to ship.... unless of course you wanted to intentionally try to deceive the customer into thinking that the shipment was already on its way.

I have nothing against you or your business, what I do disagree with is your business practices. You sell items or attempt to perceive the notation that you have the product on hand, which often time (as we have read from the various bad guy threads) you don't and the customer is left to hang.

Funny thing, I am in the market for new belts for my WP. I went to Autozone and they said that they were all out of stock and that it would have to be factory ordered, when he called the factory, they were out of stock as well. He told me I could pay for the belt and then wait for the part to come in, they would call me and then I could come pick it up, it should take a week. I went with my better judgment and decided to just wait the week before paying. Guess what, I went back 2 weeks later and they still haven't been restocked yet, the store manager was like " Man I am glad you didn't pay for that belt, I would be looking like such an *** right now. We have no clue when we will get more in, best I can say is keep checking in with us"...... moral of the story, don't pay for it unless you know for a fact it is in stock.

And I vote we DON'T close this thread, it obvious you want it to get buried and for everyone to forget about this incident. But this is something that members need to be aware off.

not saying the thread should be deleted just closed.

Also if the end was near I would not be giving away $1,000 in parts...

Some just don't know how much I love the Rx-8 community.

Brice should redeem himself by finding some way to tune an S2 Renesis.

and a Week is no time. The only time I would complain about waiting a week is if I was quoted a time less than that.
In Stock doesn't mean You'll have it tomorrow, in a week, in a month. It means we have it now.

Still, shame on Brice for having something listed as in stock when its not. A simple app can manage inventory for you bro.

Now get on that S2 Tune.

And I ordered my hood from assualt tech which they told me it would ship out in 3 days. Two weeks later I was still fighting with them where my hood was. Apparently there was a "shipping discrepancy" and my order was never processed. **** happens to everyone. NO vendor is exempt from issues.

if thread closes it should be stickied... or a new one created that covers just the facts, locked, and stickied.

Perhaps one day it can be removed... for me (yeah, I know what a lot of you guys already think) that'll be a cold day in hell.

yes you are correct, but when a vendor gives the customer a tracking number, a reasonable person would come to a conclusion that the package has shipped. The only time I have ever seen a tracking number issued for a package that hasn't actually shipped is when the vendor is trying to deceive the customer into thinking that it has.

So Brice, answer this, why would you give a customer a tracking number for a package that is no where close to being ready to ship?
