So you're saying I'm 'counterproductive' and a 'hypocryt' because I didn't ask for my money back???
What money?...also I'm sure that was not what I said...I inferred you were being a hypocrite because you hadn't contacted him about your claim..even long after everyone knew what was happening....but you choose to go on and on about it "after the fact"

"If you'd had the decency to let him continue business-as-usual, I'm sure he'd contact you and pay up"
What color is the sky on your world?
Business as usual?

Yes, you are a 'great judge of character' just because you've not been ripped off yet....
...naive much?
I'm in Canada and didn't find out he was filing bankruptcy - how could I? So how am I reasonably supposed to file claims long after the fact?
What has Canada got to do with anything? What would you think your share of the proceeds would have been if you HAD filed a claim in the bankruptcy...$10...$100? Would you still want your pound of flesh?

After HE contacted ME, I asked 'what he had for me' and got the answer ANY asswipe would give.
Go pet your unicorn Dan
Let me guess...the answer that he was bankrupt and didn't have 2 $fives to rub together to pay back thousands of dollars of debt?

Unicorn.....that the best you can do? You need to get off the damn island once in a while...you are turning into an old fuddy duddy

This is a Good Guy/Bad Guy area. This is a Good Guy thread. There are dedicated Bad Guy threads on the same person. Nobody else would be permitted to come into someone elses Good Guy thread and do this. Yet a Moderator not only stands by, he participates. So it's OK to not uphold forum rules and principles because he has a beef. Hypocritical? Double standard? Everybody can clearly see that it is.

Despite my opinion on the other vendor and that situation I don't go in his Good Guy threads and assail him there.

RX8performance - Good Guy

My car(REW swap)had solid engine mounts and I wanted to reduce the vibrations from the engine that traveled through the car.(I bought the car this way last year).

After looking through my options I decided to give this REW mount/brace a try.

The REW engine mount/brace went in easy, just bolts right in.
Completely reduced the vibrations that I had before.

If your looking to do a REW swap this will make it easier for you to complete.

Communication was great with the seller.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

Glad your experience went well, it didn't work out well for some other members which is why RX8performance is not allowed to be a vendor here.

I live in Palm Harbor, FL and have had two GSL SE's and now a RX8. I have always taken my car to Jeff at Maztech for service and he has never let me down. I think Scott used to work for him years ago, but I am not positive. If that was the same Scott however, he was a proficient mechanic and always pleasant to speak with.

Nope. I am assuming it was an agreed arrangement. I can't believe after all that BS that the Op would delete it but he probably just wanted his damn catch can.

I deleted that thread after confirming the issue being resolved as agreed upon by both of us. I was honestly hesitant making that post but my emotions got the best of me and I needed to vent. Other than making false deadlines, the communication was there (he could of have just left me hanging and not send me the other parts) and the quality of his products (splash shield) is top notch. I know its hard starting a new company, and I really hate being the bad guy who destroys the business before it gets off its feet. I do believe in second chances and that people can change as long as they are willing. Scott showed me his intent and willingness to correct the issue, so I agreed under certain conditions to remove the thread. In the end, he has something I need, as long as I get what I paid for in a timely manner with workmanship, I can call it a day. I just hope he learned his lesson, and improves his business practices. He may not be so lucky with the next customer.

he did just move between shops recently, while this does cause issues it doesn't relieve him of his obligations ... glad that you were able to resolve it amiably

Yeah and starting a new business in the same industry for the 3rd time is probably even harder huh? Please post up when you get the product.
