Tire Rack, Bad Guy?
I ordered a set of tires from tirerack.com and payed for 2 day shipping.. Why is delivery set for 6 days later? Customer service said that 2 day shipping is an estimate but 6 days? Come on!. Im sure the tires will be great, if I ever get them.

I paid extra for 2 day shipping. I called and was informed that because of Thanksgiving that the shipping was delayed. I said I understand that shipping would have been delayed due to the holiday but Friday is not a holiday and they didnt ship on that day either. I payed for 2 day shipping and it is going to take 6 days for them to get here. I didnt mind the price of the tires and the shipping cost was not bad at all, But I needed my tires by today at the latest and by them not arriving on time Im out of money for an autoX I can not run now.

Unusual...........I think the ship out of Atlanta. It's not that far from you.
When I bought mine last Spring, I bought them one afternoon and by the next afternoon they were here! Guess I just caught them at a good time and were loading up the truck.

Did you call them? They generally seemed willing to be helpful when I was ordering through them. In the end I even went with a bit of a different tire size(larger rear) and have them to thank for the initial suggestion!

Like I said, I can understand it being Thanksgiving, and I even expected a delay, but not 6 days! I talked to my guy who does all my car work and he told me to go ahead and see if they will let me race tomorrow with the current tires.... Lets hope so.. Also, when I called customer service, the lady was rude and not helpful at all.

My shipments from TireRack have allways been on time. I totally disagree w/ them being overpriced. I've seen the bridgestones and michelins for anywhere from 50-100 bucks more per tire on other websites.

I didnt get to run my AutoX today.. One of the guys out there said he ordered from them and actually got his tires the very next day! I guess I will get over it. Overall, the price of the tires was not bad at all and the shipping charges where way less than I expected, I wont ever pay extra for faster shipping though.
