Vehicle Stars - Anyone dealt with them?
So I'm trying to sell my RX8 and recently got a call from these guys claiming there were people clamoring to buy a car through them. They have some song and dance about people with bad credit etc. and how they will offer me the full asking price. The only thing I have to do is pay their $500 advertising/administration fee and they will promote my car on a whole bunch of websites and basically guarantee it will get sold in 90 days. If it doesn't get sold they will give back $400.

While it sounds almost too good to be true, I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with them and can give opinions.

Based in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, employs full time phone call centers to get people to list their cars, they just read Craigslist etc. and call you saying they have buyers. Sounds like a great scam to me.

On a scale of A+ to F , even the BBB gives them an F.
Check their refund system - the claim must be Certified, Tracked, Notarized and you only have seven days to claim.
You list at an optimistic price, with room to haggle and make a deal?
If they decide your car wasn't 'competitively priced' for it's year condition etc, that's when they tell you no refund, entirely at their discretion.
You can see how that could go wrong.....
