Will we be doing parade laps again this year? That was a blast. However, I seem to recall the rule was no passengers, and I'll have my 9-year old boy with me, so I guess I'll have to pass on the parade lap. Bummer.

time permitting we will have parade laps and your son can ride with you and any other guests, as long as yo usign a waiver. So, you can have passengers in yior car. Also, please send me a pm with your sons' shirt size, as Freedom does have youth sizes.

No helmet should be worn. No special preparation should be needed for the car. They are parade laps, it's not a competition event.
Last year the car corrals were at the start/finish line, across from the pits. Come in the main entrance and go straight, then cross the bridge. You'll see it on the right.

We will have signage to let you know where to go and the track volunteers will direct you as well. As alnielsen stated you do not need a helmet. I would advise a cooler with your favorite beverage, snacks, we'll be serving lunch on Saturday, sunscreen.

When the showers were first built there in the mid 80's, they were only for use of the track workers. I don't know if this policy has changed.

Showers are for the public use as well. We will have the prelim sched for our corral up by week's end. Please note that we've been asked to be Grid Marshal's for both the GS/ST race and DP/GT race. The Parade laps will take place on Saturday during the "Fan Walk" of the GS/ST Race.

When gridding the GS/ST race, we will of course be wearing our Freedom T's and during the GT race, we'll be wearing Sahlen's Hot Dog Hats!

Marlon, I will be flying from No Va to Cleveland and will drive from there.
I will be stopping by Great Lakes Brewery. Should I pick up a few cases for our favorite
race teams. I seem to remember you bribing teams with GLB beverages at VIR last year.
There will probably have Oktoberefest.
Let me know.

I'm planning to come up Saturday morning for the races, but this sounds like a great alternative for parking. I assume there will be no problem getting into the corral on Saturday morning?

Also, is there a schedule for when the charity dyno runs or parade lap might be?

I'm also planning on being there Saturday only. Last year I was there Friday and Saturday, but I didn't have my (now) 9-year old son with them then. I don't think he could handle two days at the track. Even I was getting tired of the affair half way through the second day last time. I seem to remember that last year there were quite a few more Mazdas in the corral on Saturday than on Friday, so I think many people only come for that day.

Just a quick reminder, if you are attending the corral, I need your t shirt size for the Freedom T's, I need them by today as I will be submitting the list to Freedom tomorrow! this is just for the recent attendees, as I have all of the others that signed up early in the process.
