Shaz. I PM'd you, haven't heard anything back from you in a bit plus I've already paid.
let me know what's going on. I'm not rushed, just nervous you'll disappear.

Puddle Light Construction
Hey Big *****!!
I think it's great that you are so willing to take the time to make these puddle lights for your fellow RX8 fans.
Just one question, how about producing a brief PDF on how to make them? $70-$75 seems a bit expensive for such small and what appears to be very inexpensive parts or maybe I am mistaken.
How much do these individual parts actually cost anyway? 2 bulb receptables, 2 bulbs, some screws etc. How much would it cost to buy the individual parts. I am a disabled combat veteran and cannot afford the $75. I thought I could save a bunch of money if I made my own.
Your thoughts?

@wildwarzy: Without getting into an argument, please don't throw the words "disabled combat vet" around like it's as a means to get something.
It'll cost you about the same, if not, more to fabricate it but at the end of the day, if you're curious and like creating things in general, the joy of creating the item far outweighs the cost. Also, I created my puddle lights from scratch (Thanks Jorge [Jedi54] for pushing me that way).
There's plenty of sites that show you how to fabricate parts so, if you're very eager to make this or other parts, google search is your best friend. It was for me when I first started this project. Just apply those techniques and it should lead you to what you want to make. But, be prepared to spend a few hundred bucks if you don't have the mixtures for the plastic, mold, equipment, chroming (yes my puddle lights have a chrome finish in them too), safety equipment, sanding paper, etc. Also, A LOT of hours working on it as like any project creating items.
It's like when I created my Jack head for this past Halloween. At first, I looked at places I could buy the head. There's one that sells a foam one for $100 or so. I thought, hey I can make it cheaper! Sure you can make one out of paper mache for 20 bucks or so on a budget. But, I wanted mine nice and smooth like the real deal. Also, lightweight and durable. My lightweight Jack head in the photo link below isn't with paper mache. It's with fiberglass, magnets (to change hats and facial expressions), bondo, spray paint, etc. Fabricating with that, cost me around $50-$75 in all and loads of time. Didn't end up saving much but boy, I sure as hell had fun designing and creating it!

Puddle Lights Disable Vet.
I'd love it if you could stand in my shoes for a minute buddy. Being disabled, living on a fixed income, living in constant pain being unabled to walk, having an ugly stump, living on all kinds of medications a failing liver etc., etc., SUCKS. I am so sorry if you thought I was just throwing my disability around since I f___King earned it fighting for my country and your freedom pal! I guess to you that's not worth anything right? I guess you never served in the military or had your leg ripped apart by a claymore mine while serving your country. Sorry for trying to save a few bucks!
You should give a try and then see how it feels when some ungrateful butthead insults your patriotic sacrifice rather than show a bit of the civil gratitude and the respect I believe I both earned and deserve. As usual, it's all about the money right? I saw your list of people wanting these puddle lights. Multiply that by $75/per and that works out to be a pretty fair amount of money and a lot of profit for you.
Where are all those sites you said show one how to make these puddle lights? I Googled them and couldn't find anything other than installation instructions
I also saw the parts list for these lights and it surprises me that all costs so much money. How much do these parts really cost? I looked at the instructions and I thought perhaps, I might be able to save myself a few bucks and be able to spruce up my RX8.
Sorry if I led you to believe I was trying to get something for being a disabled Vet buddy. $75.00 just seemed like a lot of money for such small parts and it befuddles me why something like this isn't not already manufactured for RX8s and on the market.
I thought the RX8 was a place where fellow RX8 enthusiasts could come together and celebrate their joy and love of this neat car and support one another when possible. As a matter of fact I have met some really nice people here. People who are willing to help and share and not use this venue to profit off of others.
Yeah I am a former United States Marine. Yeah I am a disabled Combat Veteran! Yeah I am dam proud of it! Do I walk around acting like everybody owes me something for my sacrifice, an emphatic NO! Do I try to make life a bit easier for myself because of my circumstances, wouldn't you? Thanks for the compassion bro.
Thank you to those of you who tried explaining this to him in my defense.
It's appreciated!! I LOVE MY RX8. Fixing it up takes my mind off my pain and makes me happy and that's all I have to say about it.
