yea, I even insured yours for $100. So if they loose it, I'll recoupe the cost of the first set that got lost in the mail.

Well......like I promised, I'll be on the lookout for two different sets and be sure to contact you if they show up. I take it you never figured out who the other Dave was?

RR,
One set came in on about Wednesday and was apparently the 2nd set as the handwritten note was included. Stripped the ends and used a 9v battery just to make sure they would light before probably installing somewhere this weekend. All is good...............thanks! Will let you know about differences seen between what I already have an yours, if you're interested.

Dave

Did hood dampers this morning and I'm still undecided where I'm going to put yours. I'm thinking under each front seat towards the back(for the rear footwells) and tying into the others up front.........so all will be courtesy driven.

I'll be the first to say that these pictures exaggerate the brightness a little.

So are you selling a set for the trunk as well rasp?

If so, I'm interested in a blue set for the trunk + a set of blue footwell lights.

Well Rodger........and the answer is.............

Just got through putting mine under the rear underside of the front seats as I already had some in the footwells(as you know). Had no issue what-so-ever, just the normal pain of running the wires. Because I attached them under the seats.............I had to run the wires from under the rear of the passenger seat up underneath the carpet into the center console(yes, I took it loose yet again!) and then across and back down the other side(again underneath the carpet) to the drivers side(where the 2nd set was attached). Then run them over underneath the carpet to the side sill and up towards the fuse box.....where I have the footwells connected........and.......all on these are on their own fuse!
Of course, I had all the extra wire I needed, so that wasn't an issue

I chose not to daisy chain them, they are in parallel and not serial(so to speak).
Everything was soldered and heat shrunk and no visible wires! FTW

Oh.............and I did use the plastic stick on mounts underneath the seats but I didn't glue them, I tie wrapped two mounts on each board(I had more) and used those as standoffs from the metal seat bottom, then used two other tie wraps around the boards to secure them using holes in the seat pans. The plastic mounts are just used to stand them off, so no possibility of shorts even though you wrapped them very nicely.

I'll take some pics fairly soon, but now I have to stop all the blood letting I have going on with four fingers!

If anybody tries this approach...let me tell you that Mazda(or any other car manufacturer) doesn't give a damn how sharp metal is or how clean edges are when it's out of site and out of reach for most people. The tie points for my install was up under the seats, and you will find circular holes in the pans that are the bottom of the seats. You can use these to tie off on, but if you reach your fingers in those holes(which you will have to do), you will come out bloody.......I can guarantee it! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Recent edit:
I actually have now moved these from the underside of the seats and placed them on the floor under the seats angled towards the rear footwells. I already was careful about how I had run the wires, so didn't have to do anything there. All wiring is under the carpet. They sit right infront and slightly below the rear vents where they are held by wire ties. I came in about 1/2 inch from the carpet cutouts for the rear vents and punched two small holes in the carpet on each side(just slightly bigger than the width of the boards) and tie wrapped them. I'll try to take some pics soon and Rodger..............I would say that yours are slightly dimmer than what I have upfront(that's not a bad thing by any means) and just a hint more of a purplish hue than what I have up front.
