Offical New Rx8 LED Brake Light Group Buy
#151
So my package was set to arrive today with my smoked out LED brake light. I was pretty excited because tomorrow is my first day off in 2 weeks, so I was going to install the brake light. I opened up the package and wtf is this. I dont know what vehicle this LED brake light is made for but it definitely isn't an RX8. Not only that but one of the tabs was broken off. I took these pictures as soon as I opened the package.

Ok, I have the same problem as WVBoosted. What I got is the same; definitely not something for the RX8.

I have the same problem. PM'd Saki, said it is probably an RSX brake light and that he'd send a return label so I can get the right one. Just waiting for the label now.

sorry about the problem of the last 3 orders, they contacted me and said they accidentally sent out the RSX one instead of the Rx8 one in the last 3 orders. What i think i will do is have them to ship you guys the Rx8 one with the return label inside today so you guys will have it quicker. Sorry about that and i don't even know they shipped you guys the wrong one. I will have them replace asap. Thanks for the patient.

Just got in from 3 week vacation. The part number on my box that was delivered is BL-ARSX02-LED SM
A-01 I think it was just labeled incorrectly. It fit, the gasket they used is rubber. The stock gasket is different materials, it is foamy.
I will post some pictures later.

Yes, patience is a virtue! But, the frustrating part is lack of communication. I am sure myself and perhaps others would be content with a simple response explaining the delay in shipment of the new batch.
On a different note......can anyone with an 06 give me some pointers on removal of the trunk liner. I have tried every philip-head bit and been unsuccessful. I am inclined to think these aren't threaded, but simple compression clips. But prior attempts to pry them out have left me with nothing but bruised knuckels

Mine arrived broken as well
it had a little plastic piece ratting around inside it. I think that was the broken part of the tab.
However, I've seen some people say that the used the stock bracket. Are they referring to the clear plastic outside? Maybe I don't need the broken part. The inside is ok I think.

^Yeah they were referring to that, or using the stock gasket with the new light. I think in your case you would want to put the LEDs in the stock housing, although it does look like you should still be able to install that piece no problem.

The lights arrived yesterday. They were late arriving but definitely worth the wait. I installed using the new housing that came with the lights, but used the OEM foam surround. Installed this morning, and they look and fit great. I really can't tell if they are clear or smoked, but they look good nonetheless.
For those that were waiting to see pics of the tinted tails with these LEDs, SORRY! I tried installing the film myself, had the blow dryer going and everything but couldn't get it to wrap nicely around the contours. I ultimately ended up tearing the film. But, I will be tinting the windows in the near future and will get the tail lamps done at the same time. Will post pictures then!
Saki - thanks. Great product!

I received my replacement today 23 days after payment. I would be happy with the product if it wasn't covered in some sort of adhesive that goo gone won't even remove. I doubt it will even come off so I guess I am forced to spend more time using my factory housing..... I guess you get what you pay for.

I guess I should've tried more than one before seeking help. The threads were shot on the one I was trying to remove (Murphy's law). The rest were a breeze though. Thanks for the help.
