*Houston* Mufflershop?
I'm not really new to houston but am new to having such a rare car so heres my Q.
Anyone know a muffler shop in houston that might have some aftermarket mufflers for our cars in stock? I'm trying to get it by Saturday so me and my buddy with a body shop have a project to do, but i can't find anywhere that has them in stock. I'm trying to go cheap and just get a muffler instead of a kit, not worried about preformance as much as im worried about getting a bassy aggresive sound, so muffler recomendations would also be nice .
Also another small question, can you cut out your cat and weld a pipe there instead of buying a midpipe? and if so will it cut preformance? *i know ill get a CEL and cant get it inspected etc...*
Quick responses are appriciated since saturday is my deadline, thanks guys

dont know if theres a shop like that for us, at least not east texas. Also im not sure if anyone has gone the "cheap" direction with our 8. Good luck, let us know how it turns out should be interesting.

Eh I highly doubt any shops around here carry any decent brands for cat backs... your best bet is to just wait and buy one online from a vendor. Shipping usually takes under a week.
And yeah you can cut out your cat but the piping is still pretty small compared to aftermarket options. Better to save your money for a real midpipe and keep your stock for inspections

there is a place off dairy ashford that will take your muffler off and make a custom y pipe for 100 bucks thats what i did and it sounds amazing and about 700 dollars cheaper than any exhaust and it passes inspection
