[Houston] November Club Meeting and Food Drive for Children - November 2nd 2004
Join your fellow rotary enthusiasts at our next club meeting!
The club is growing quickly! Each meeting brings all the dependable friends we've grown to know and trust, as well as many new faces and cars to join the group! This is what the club is striving for! A group of enthusiasts who are dedicated, reliable and willing to bring their knowledge, as well as their thirst for it, to our group. It's incredible to see 30+ people attending every meeting each month, the upcoming year is going to be incredible - we're already planning events! Thank you to each one of you, for making this happen. We look forward to the renewed spirit, continued growth, camaraderie and exciting opportunities.
A special thank you to all that attended last nights meeting. If you didn't make it out, PLEASE make sure you come to the November meeting as it is a VERY special one. Two years ago, the club decided that we spent so much time focusing on ourselves and our cars that we needed to give back to the community as a group a couple times a year. There will be a several small prize drawings for those who contribute.
So please, join us in the "2nd Annual Donation Drive for Casa de Esperanza de los Niņos!" The House of Hope for Children is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the effects of the AIDS virus. This year we are making special requests for the following items: non-perishable food items (pasta, spaghetti sauce, cereal, things that can easily be used for groups of kids); baby food; paper products (toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, diapers); if you can't make it to the store then bring out some cash, I'm sure Lori will have no problem shopping for items on your behalf! The important thing is that we help! This year has been extremely difficult because funding is low state wide and the shelves at the house are quite empty. Please try to commit to bringing as many items as you can, remember it's for a good cause and we're fortunate to be where we are in life! For more information about this organization, please feel free to visit: www.casahope.org.
This is going to be a great meeting! It's always fun doing things for others, PLUS we're going to a new location that not only has great food, but a HUGE parking lot that is primarily empty at night. Reservations have already been made and everyone is excited, even the owner who knew right away what we drove! We're going to be able to get some awesome group pics and show off all those hot cars without the worry of space! Bring your cameras, appetites & donations!

Yes, that is the same day indeed. However the meeting is at 7-ish.
We spoke about this last meeting and the members said if you haven't gone and voted by then, you probably aren't going to get around to it at all. Most employeers give time off to go vote so try and take advantage of that or the early voting offerings.
:D / See you there!

Got my car running, now, I just need to know if everyone is still going as I am coming fr. Dickinson and would not want to drive all the way up to Hou w/ this water just to find out they cancelled the meeting. Thanks.

Damn it! Last month I was going to go before it got rescheduled. The reason then was inclement weather. It didn't even rain that day! Now that the weather is lousy, the meet is still going on? This is Texas not Massachussetts. We don't flip flop here. Pick a standard and keep it!
