2005 Texas HeatWave car show thread
well it's come and gone and now we wait another year for its return, thought I'd start a thread where we could share pictures, stories, and opinions about the shw etc. I took about 70 pics so I'll be posting them eventually, no stories from me as I didn't make the Saturday night festivities due to being beyond exhausted from being out in the heat all day. Overall it was a pretty fun show, the heat was crazy, the rain on the way home Saturday was a bummer too, but since I have a yellow and since the ride home was pretty uneventful aside from the long **** wait to get out of the show most of it dried off and the car looked as clean as it did pre-rain. there was the usual amount of completely insane cars, trucks, pocket bikes, tricked out golf carts etc., and the usual amount of *holes that come out too, one of which almost ran me over while I was walking the show and then when I tried to get his attention just ignored me and pretended nothing happened. That and all the *holes that kept ruining my pictures by not stopping and walking right into them, I'm holding a frickin' camera and pointing it at the car and they just look right at me and keep walking, checking it out etc. Yup, that's the part about the shows I hate, is all the punks out there being all whatever, it's all good though as it seems like our shop got tons of exposure etc. The number of insanely beautiful (but insanely high maintenance) women this show attracts is astonishing as well :D

Yeah the women were out if full force. I was suprised. I got some pics too. I will throw them up. I stayed with Dazy, Jenkins, Jenkins, wife and Brother, and some other people. I had a lot of fun. And I met Klar today, after dazy, Klar and I did the twistys off of 2222. They were a lot of fun I have to do it again when I get new tires, I was slipping all over the place.

^^^ lol :D
The cars at the show were very cool. Remember the monster truck that got up on 3 wheels? Sweet. :D
8 is enough, you missed girls walking around 6th street with no shirts on!
This weekend was a lot of fun guys. Thanks for the MANY laughs. :D Richard and Jenkins were once again HIGHLY entertaining, especially Richard at 5am!! I took full advantage of Lime Creek, running to the end and back twice. :D I am worn out, incredibly tired, and I'm STARVING!! :p
So when is the next trip? :D :D

got my pics of my trunk and the Circuit city 8, the system came out great and sound insane, it is really funny cranking it and watching that poor trunk fight to stay closed :D The Soundstream stickers kinda' blocked stuff a little and it got a bit dusty in there, but I still like how it turned out. Those panels in the side open and we're working on rigging up a smoke machine to make it look like the rotary symbol is really bursting out, we found one and had it all ready to go but we ran out of time to get it mounted etc. so there you go, there's always next year :D

Did anyone see if Rockford still had their plain white cargo van with the wall of 15's on display there? It has been there the past few years and I'm not sure if they retired it yet. I ask because I built it.

There was an Astro van in the Custom Sounds area, is that the same one? Did you hear about the USAC guy dying at the show? Apparently he had some sort of heart operation recently and was talking to some people and essentially dropped dead right in the middle of the conversation, he's been running the audio contest for what seems like an eternity, total bummer

I was visiting a friend and we were going to hit Heatwave on Sunday but we woke up pretty late that Sunday (3pm) and we didnt really have any motivation to go anywhere. So Sunday night we went to a bar and grill where we knew the bartender and drank from 7-12..now that was a good day..
