6/24 RX8 Speed Zone Meet!!

RX8 meet at Speed Zone is Dallas. Sounds like there are about six of us down to do this but we would like to see a big turn out of people. Scott and I were thinking Tuesday because from what we have heard they have a special going on, on Tuesday's during the summer (I will call tomorrow to verify) and also because a Tuesday would be a lot less crowded then on a weekend. MEET STARTS AT 7:30

Guess what!? it gets better.....Scott is putting up a challenge that if someone beats him he will buy a round of shots!

I will get more info on the location and time of the meet tomorrow. I hope to see a bunch of you out there racing!!!!

FYI...

All day Tuesday, purchase a $15 wristband and play all the video games and miniature golf you can handle. Redemption games not included but can be played with a regular play card. For $10 more, get unlimited racing on Turbo Track. Add another $10 and get unlimited racing on the Slick Track. Video games open to wrist banded "Fifteen Buck Tuesday" guest only. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount or offer.

So is the Turbo track fine for everyone or does everyone want to spend $35 and get the slick track as well?

Hrmm...what if I beat you 5 times? Is there a household limit

I think that they were tearing up the large GP track when I drove by a few weeks ago, not sure if they finished reconstruction yet.

more FYI...

Slick Trax:

Finely polished concrete surface allows up to 15 racers to maintain a stable four-wheel slide while the rear-powered slick tires spin wildly through each turn. For the fastest lap, don't make any unnecessary turns of the steering wheel. Smooth driving is the key, don't lose your momentum!
Turbo Track:
Race wheel-to-wheel with up to 20 other drivers in our custom-scale Turbo Cars with high-torque engines. They'll bring out a lust for competition in even the most mild-mannered drivers. Turbo cars are faster than Slick Trax cars, so be sure to look ahead and set up for the next turn or for passing other cars. Well-planned and deliberate moves mean fast times on Turbo Track.

Yeah no kidding, I have always been a speed freak myself, but I like to mix that with drifting (at least in video games)

Id be fine with just doing the Turbo track cuse its faster and cheaper and supports more people.

Creto, I think I have once last question for you since you seem to have all the answers.... do they allow you to put people in the "wall"

look who's back from the dead! you still co-driving an 8 at least?

1. yes there is a house limit; 2. bring it; 3. deal is off if the gp track is closed

Why do I see it turning into the "longest wreck" with Ricky Bobby and Pepe Le Pew? We'll even have to pause for an Applebee's commercial and then come back to your wreck ending, and then yall getting out and running the rest of the way.
