The front rail came in so Martin took off bent one and installed new one. He should be painting the front & sides this week. He can't install the front until this other front piece that helps support the front comes in, but that should be any day now. The exhaust is on and I think the intake is on. The lights in the front have been replaced. The adjuster told Martin last week to fix the hood, but I decided to buy it anyway. I think he tried to repair but wasn't able to so when the adjuster comes out again to look at the wheels (two are out of round and unrepairable) he's showing them the hood again to get money to replace 2 wheels and the hood. I ordered rims today. The goal is to get it all ready, minus wheels and up on jacks, by this weekend so as soon as the rims come in, he can mount the tires, take for an adjustment and balance. Then call me to tell me to come pick it up! :D

I'm stopping by on Friday to see her. I'm getting excited!!!!!!

i think he was going to by you a K&N intake but i recomended the newer version that is out. so not sure what is up with that yet. and i think you are getting the hood replaced due to the fact that it is aluminum and doesnt take to repairs very well!

Correction: Dazy doesn't know what she's talking about. She's put faith in Martin and Mr. Ed to help her out. She's just repeating what she's been told. :o

I know you were, but I'm not. You haven't known me for very long and you've helped me out in so many ways. It's appreciated more than you know. Thank you.

high-pitched voice says, "Dammit!"

If these are too bling bling for me, I will seriously get another set and sell them. I'm just waiting for the dark chrome to be on ebay again. I'll hibernate in front of my computer all night without food or bathroom breaks if I have to for those.

<shakes head> velveeta and cheese is most definitely a late night snack when you're drunk :D

Stopped by the shop today & talked to Martin. I'm getting excited!!! <happy dance--happy dance> Also saw a red w/chrome wheels at Freeman and it looked sweet! Reconfirmed my choice in wheels.

I did some serious shopping today. :D Bought the RP Short Shifter and a digital camera so I can post pics of it and the rest of the car when it's done. The shifter should be shipped at the end of the week so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's here before the trip. If it is, anyone want to help install?

lol, no, unfortunately I did not win the lottery. I had some cash set aside for the exhaust and now I can use that for other stuff.

Thanks Jenkins. I was reading up on it too and I don't think it'll take long, but I need someone who's more technically inclined than me to make sure I don't screw anything up. I'll post when it comes in. :D

WOO-HOO! My wheels came in today! I took them up to Martin and saw my car. They put one wheel on w/the unpainted front and clear corner so I could get an idea of what it's going to look like (minus the thick layer of dust). DD Very nice.... D And Martin says it'll be ready this week (except for the CF hood). I CAN'T WAIT!

That nose piece is really going to define that car. I think it will look great once it is painted. Like I said before, your car is going to be the nicest 8 in the area when it's done.
It should give Martin some good advertisement as well. Be sure to keep a lot of his biz cards handy because people are going to be asking.
