Amazingly Smooth Warranty Experience
I figured some of you Houston guys/gals might appreciate hearing about my first warranty experience. I bought my 8 at Jeff Haas about 2 years ago and I'd put off the recall work and some other odds and ends. The a/c started blowing hot air and I figured, well it's time... let's get the old warranty shell-game over with. First I phoned Joe Myers and (true to form) they wanted to jerk me around, said they were backed up for 3 days (after they found out I bought the car from someone else).
Called Jeff Haas. Had an appointment at 7:00 a.m. the next day. I was the first customer served. I got a free loaner without any problems or hassel. They gave the car the R-flash (or whatever the latest version is); fixed the suspension problem, corrected the air-bag recall thing, replaced the A/C amplifier controller, even painted my rotors to cover up that nasty rust-ring (and they offered to do that - I wouldn't have known to ask.) I picked up the car on the afternoon of the second day and had absolutely no complaints with the service or the quality of the work.
I have to add that the fix for the A/C wasn't the correct one. I phoned them up as soon as I noticed it and they set up another appointment. I dropped it off on a Wed and picked it up around 2:00 on the following Friday. Once again, no hassel, no delays, no sense of being 2nd class because it was warranty work.
Maybe it's not unique to Jeff Haas. Maybe all dealers bend over backwards to make you a happy customer on warranty work. But it was so much more positive than what I expected; I figured I'd pass the word along to other Houstonians...

Yeah I know what you are talking about. I bought my car from dennis eakin in killeen, But I can never get a appointment thats not 5 days out. And they never want to give me a loaner. So I started taking my car to miller mazda in waco. And I never have any problems with them.
