Lightbulb Any cold airs in the DFW?

The heat is tearing up my engine! Every 10minutes or so i'll be driving down the highway at 5,00RPMs or so and my over heating light will come on. So i'm getting an oil change even though its not due and i was thinking a lil cold air could be a quick fix? so anyone have a slightly used cold air for sell? Or i would even swap the stock intake for one if your thinking about selling your Rx8 so just hit me up with a price and we'll meet up and exchange!

Thanks,
Collier

Better flowing stock intake https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...y+stock+intake

Link + K&N drop in filter, Maybe remove the VFAD and replace your coolant.

You should find out what the overheat light is coming on during Highway cruise. You should have plenty of airflow. That's not normal. Even in Texas.

Don't spend money on an intake to fix a cooling problem.

It might just be the coolant is low or its a poor mix. I would flush and replace the coolant. It's easy and cheap. Here in MA, I use a 50/50 mix and I don't have any issues. The only time my coolant light came on was when I was revving the **** out of my engine in neutral at my old work. Some people wanted to hear it.

haha well dude i just went out into the parking lot with a pocket knife and pulled my intake right on up and got rid of those flaps! then when i put it back in i started to check and see if everything was sconnected properly and ect. when i noticed a cracked black tubing coming from my intake...I saw there had previously been black electrical tape around but an un covered part was cracked. so i taped it and reved it up. i can definatly tell the difference! and my idle is below 1 but not shakey. how do i reset it? i tried the 20 brake pump thing but it didnt work :/ i might jyst drive the 100 miles to break it in. but i think this was the fix i was looking for. and agin i definatly heard a difference

Not sure what that light looks like. But my coolant light was coming on for a while at high highway rpms in june. I added more coolant and was good as new.

The cracked tubing from the intake should be nothing more then a vacuum line, I think. This should not effect your coolant at all.

If you don't have a bad coolant sensor and you aren't low on coolant and your cooling system is working as designed and your car really is overheating You should get these.
