Anyone in Arlington TX that can help me?

Hi guys,

I got an estimate yesterday from Hiley Mazda in Arlington for my fog lights, parking lights and front splash guards install and it came to $176!!!! I need to change bulbs in both pkg lights and fog lights. Anybody willing to help? Thanks!

Yeah considering that Hiley of Hurst wanted to charge me 325 to replace the entire headlight unit just because the high beams were out... I'd say you got deal man. Though I dont know anything about such things either.

That sounds like a fair price to me. You have to remove the whole front bumper to install the fog lights and it's not fun. At $100 an hour they're barely charging you over an hour to do all that.

OMG another Arlington RX8er!! Amazing! Installing new fog light bulbs is really easy.. parking lights just take a few more minutes after your bumper is off.. Could possibly do the splash guards as I took mine off... If you have all the hardware. Where abouts in arlington do you live?

Also.. removing the front bumper is actually kindof fun.

Send me a pm or gimme a call/text @ 817-996-9742. We'll see what we can do.

Oh oh.. and what color?

We've started charging to help others out? Damn, wish I'd known that on the 5 sets of springs/shocks I've helped install...

$176 isn't too bad considering labor, but what's the fun in that?? Me being a complete n00b about cars to begin with was hesitant to mess with that stuff, but I feel like I've learned SO much by just tinkering with the stuff myself.

My first install was my rotary accents and that was a big step for me back in the day haha. At this point I've installed the complete Aero Kit, HID Conversion, and all my LEDs inside and outside (almost everything done myself outside, jew helped me do the puddle lights... thanks bro!!!)

My next project is to convert my fogs to HID projectors like Rotary Rasp.. pretty fun stuff, just saving up the funds to purchase everything I need!

Wow.....I guess I did get a good deal. I declined because I thought I was getting ripped off for something that is such a simple install (minus fog lights).....

Yeah seriously I've never done ANYTHING like this before, believe me. I know that your fog lights and your front splash guards come with instructions. While you're doing your fog lights you can go ahead and pull out your headlights as well (to pull your headlight completely off it's like 1 screw, 2 silver bolts, and 3 black bolts with the number '8' on them if I remember correctly).

I know some people on here are like "Oh yeah the install took me like 15 minutes to do everything blah blah" but just take your time and thoroughly read and re-read your instructions. It's definitely fun taking your bumper off the first time and seeing what it looks like underneath.

Cyclone is coming over Sunday around 1 if anyone else in the area (arlington) wants to come by and help or has minor installs of their own.

Arlington TX~~~ I moved here about a year ago and have had my 05 RX-8 since ... well ... 05. I live on Cooper street and would love to learn how to do thing on my own car! I have done absolutely nothing to it because labor is so damn expensive. I'm currently saving up for a suspension upgrade and would love to have so input! ! ! Here's my number (956) 246-5465 Rio Grande Valley area code!

Where abouts on Cooper St? I used to go to UTA a few years ago and transferred out a couple of years later, but I'm still pretty familiar with the area. It would be fun to meet up and help out!
