Anyone in DFW have motor mounts replaced?
Ive been out of town for a while, just before I left I did a clutch/flywheel.
Havent driven the car in a month or so and have been driving it for 2 weeks now.
Car seems to shake and rattle alot more over bumps.
When cruising if I let off the gas I can feel rocking.
The last thing I did before leaving was the clutch and Mazda did that for me since it was in to replace a bad throw out bearing.
Took it to Mazda, they said it feels fine.
Wondering if anyone would want to take my car for a spin and see if Im wrong or not.

I have had my motor mounts replaced but mine is 4AT but since you are in Plano maybe can check out the vibrations of each others cars. Mine still seems to vibrate at times, mainly when coming to a stop the rpm's will drop to about 750 or just under that and it starts to shake a little but once the car stops and the rpm's come back up to above 750 it seems to stop.

JT I have an '04 AT as well and had the mounts done under warranty too. I almost wonder if the mounts are bad again. I remember they were supposedly upgraded mounts, so they shouldn't fail like the first ones. Mine vibrates exactly like you described, in the lower rpms. I don't know if this is normal or not.

are bad motor mounts a common problem with the 8? For some time now when i am at idle, my car has an awful vibration. if I rev the engine a little (over 1000 rpm) it smooths out, but as soon as it falls below 800 rpm its awful.

The idle vibrations are normal. You might have broken a motor mount from the curb incident where you broke the wheels though.

I think mine are bad again too but it's not as bad as it was before they were replaced the first time, is this something that is visible that we could look on our cars and see if they are cracked or messed up? Where are they located? Thanks

I don't think you could tell without removing them. You can see them, but you wouldn't know if they had hardened or cracked without removing them. If I remember right the original ones hardened due to heat, the new ones were not supposed to have the same problem.
I remember when I picked it up with the new mounts it was very smooth at low RPMs not rough at idle like it is now.

Ive got tranny and diff fluid at home. I just want to get the thing to where it doesnt have to go to the dealer every month for something.
I dont drive it much either, since July 7th, today I just put 4k miles on it. So I dont know what the problem is.
Im about to the point to where if it doesnt quit Ill just trade it in for a S2K or a 350.
