Anyone going to the Dallas Cannonball III toinght from here?
I am... in my recently zainod' and sex'd out RX8
Since I will be going alone - (i dont know anyone else in real life thats going to go) I thought I would ask around here to see if anyone wants to run together in our 8's or just generally hang out? I'm assuming there is going to be some nice stuff there toinght i.e. expensive *** cars...
let me know: my AIM is detox440 or yahoo messenger: collegeboy69us

to be 100% honest? not THAT fun - I met up and hanging out was cool I met about 4 other people with 2nd gen? RX7s? There was one guy in a yellow RX8 that only stayed for 10 minutes, didnt get to meet him.
The actual run was dissappointing - everyone left in splotches (all us rotar heads left in a group) but 1/2 went one way, 1/2 went another and some seem to quit 1/2 way thru? I wound up doing 75% of the run by myself.

its was cool, it was a good run, plenty of cars showed up, no cop trouble
some people started leaving early, not sure who did that, who ever it was was not part of Texas Cannonball. the run started at 9 as planned, had about 60 cars do the run I got a few pics of the first couple cars that finished
winner and fastest car (he was still hauling *** in the parking lot)
took a little over an hour for the first cars to show, much slower pace then in the past, but still fun
post your pics, vids, comments in this thread

god i hate the bugeye'd STi.
and I agree with you BOL. Sounds like cannonball was just an excuse to get lots of people to together to illegally street race. heh, you don't need a special event in dallas to street race. Plenty of places where the regulars go...........

I know there are places where you can go and find a drag race, this was not a drag race. this was a cannonball, a distance race. this is not about how fast your car is or how much horse power your car makes. the cannonball is a drivers meet, a rally, I dont know of any meets in the dallas area where they have rallys, let me know if you do

I kinda think it's about how stupid you are, like the ******* in the civic flying through the parking lot.
Now if this were a cruise, I would think you'd find much more acceptance here. Say you meet up in Dallas and cruise to a bar in Ft. Worth or something.

I do agree with chr1s though. If this was a cruise and not a distance "race"... you will see a lot more 8 owners involved. Then again, if that were the case... a lot of your other drivers would probably not be interested.
